Bryant does a great job of trying to make sure you have a great stay. Loved that he brings in live music just for the guests. Had 2 great nights sitting by the fire and listening to music.

Good time overall-the garden and firepits are a nice touch. There is no restaurant on site as advertised on the website and if steps are an issue for you-request a room on the ground floor-the steps up to the main area are steep so use caution there.

Fun weekend in the Captain Wohlt and Hermann

Brant was very friendly. He gave great directions and personal insight to activities in and around Hermann. The room was clean and neat. The HVAC unit worked very well and kept the room at a chilly temperature that was wanted. The bathroom was clean and in operable condition. Would have like wash clothes added to the linens. But forgot to ask so it wasn't a big deal. The room and Victorian house were quaint and enjoyable adding to the ambiance of Hermann and our visit. Would highly reccommend the Captain Wohlt Inn and hope to return at some time in the future.

Quality amenities with a cozy cottage feeling. The room itself was top-notch with modern amenities that left me wanting for nothing, the bed was insanely comfy and the courtyard garden was so beautiful! Like something out of a storybook they even have bunnies that hop up to you and let you feed them Graham crackers. There’s nightly music, a fire pit with s’mores, it feels like you’re relaxing with neighbors who really treat you like one. When I arrived the manager even asked me what I liked to do and brought out a map to show me points of interest that I might want to visit. Even if my stay in Hermann wasn’t long I truly can’t think of a better place to stay. The personal touch can’t be found at a chain hotel but you won’t be left wanting for any of those hotel luxuries. Can’t recommend this place enough!

We had an amazing experience! From check-in, the owner gave us a rundown of town with recommendations for things to do. Our room and entire stay were phenomenal. After a day of exploring, we returned to live music, bonfires with s’mores & crazy blankets and an overall great end to the night. Delicious breakfast was delivered to our door the next morning. We were overly impressed with the property, specifically the focus on providing excellent service at every turn. We will return!
