Let me start by saying the interior of the hotel was beautiful, and the design was impressive. However, my experience was severely impacted by several issues that led to this low rating.
First, upon arrival, I found it incredibly difficult to locate the entrance due to extensive construction on the exterior of the hotel—a situation I was not informed of beforehand.
At check-in, I was required to pay a $30 per day fee for services like internet, two small bottles of water, and a shuttle service limited to a 3-mile radius. I politely declined but was told the fee was mandatory. Additionally, I had to pay a $100 per day incidental deposit, resulting in an unexpected extra $390 for my three-day stay.
Things only worsened from there. After the first night, the hot water went out. When I spoke to the front desk, I was informed that 2 out of their 3 boilers were not working. To make matters worse, the ongoing construction noise was unbearable when I tried to rest in my room before dinner. Despite these issues, I still had to take a cold shower that evening.
The next day, I decided to check out early because the situation had become intolerable. When I inquired about a refund for the unused night, I was told it wasn’t possible because my reservation was non-refundable. I was assured that my incidental deposit would be refunded within a week.
