Holiday getaway

We’ve stayed in this studio apartment before and love it. It’s cozy with a great view and awesome beach access. This trip didn’t disappoint either!

Great View

This property is a large open space with gorgeous views. Access to the beach is easy. Lots of open beach and dunes. The one drawback is the exit to hwy. 101. Traffic is at 55mph and the hedges block much of the view.

Short but Sweet

We really loved this little beach studio, the views were truly immaculate and the fish and chips up the street in Yachats was the best i've ever had in my life, only downside was there wasn't a way to get down to the yard/beach area from the back porch.

The view of the beach from the house is wonderful and we like the open concept. we did find some dog hair on the futon but the rest of the house was clean. the deck furniture needs replacing.

It was 95 degrees outside and it’s even hotter inside the cottage because there was no airconditioning we did not know this when we booked and we were not advised about this. This was book thru evolve and evolve did not let us know or warned us of this, if we knew we would have changed our plans. We went there to celebrate Mother’s day and my birthday but it was not a good experience actually the worst we have had.

Great stay at the Sanderling!

We loved our stay. It was a bit challenging to find at first as there is no signage. The unit is great inside but the exterior was worn. The unit below looked to be getting a makeover so it’s possible the whole grouping of connected units will get a makeover too. No one was staying below us, which was nice for privacy. The unit had everything we needed. The bed was so cozy and being able to wake up to the ocean view and a short walk down the path to it was spectacular. Would stay here again!

Can’t beat the views

This place is stunning, big, and peaceful! My husband’s favorite part is cooking while looking at the waves. My kids adore the loft. I relaxing on the big couch overlooking the ocean. We will be back for a third time for sure.

House is right on the highway which is easy access. The views with the morning fog were amazing. Wish the steam part of the shower worked. Bed was comfortable.

Wonderful Coastal Getaway

The proximity to the beach doesn’t get any better than this. We liked the openness of the studio apt and used the loft area as a reading nook. The location is perfect as it’s nicely tucked in between Yachats and Waldport making day trips to either destination a breeze.

Gorgeous view!!! Can't compare night and day, the ocean is right there. Kitchen was not as well equipped as needed to have others over. A washer and dryer would make everything amazing. I will be back to Sanderling Sea Cottages, maybe this unit or another slightly more modern, thank you!

Water out, no communication except the owner who could do nothing

Nothing really against the guy who owns the place, who showed up and explained what happened and that there was no timeline for repair. A water main went out along the coast and our unit was affected. No water at all. That happens. But the mgmt company was a bust. Did not answer call, did not reply to message by vrbo, after two days. Place is fine. But if Evolve is still the renting company, avoid.

Good Value with a couple surprises

THE VIEW IS SOOO WONDERFUL! Appreciate the availability on short notice. The area had plenty to do. Didn't realize there was no dishwasher and wish I had brought night eye shades to wear as there is no way to stop the light from coming in the 5 skylights. The loft twin beds are mostly meant for kids due to the low ceiling height. Perfect unit to bring kids and a dog.

Fun at beach

Absolutely beautiful view, but have concerns listed below. 1. Large sliding door with shattered glass just laying outside with other construction debris. 2. Deck has loose rotting boards. Rather scary 3. Couch and dining chairs very uncomfortable. 4. Gets warm in afternoon. Could use a cheap box fan 5. Kitchen could have used some spices and newer frying pans. 6. Shower is weirdly designed. Difficult to use. 7. TV way to small for space and poor cable service.
