Wow! A great budget hotel that is worth every penny! We stayed in 2 of the garden rooms which had lovely patio doors overlooking the garden. The bathrooms are a little tired but the rooms are spacious and the beds comfy. Free wifi and parking were fab and the location was only a short walk to Lord Street and Marine Drive etc.
The breakfasts were amazing value for money at £5 each, including a cooked breakfast, toast, pastries, jams, spreads etc, fresh fruit, cereal and tea and coffee. Lynn, a lovely French lady was very accomodating, she really looked after everyone. Nothing was too much trouble.
Yes, it's not a penthouse but if you want a budget hotel within walking distance of Southport's attractions, it is ideal. There were some fabulous shops, restaurants and bars on Lord Street. I would imagine the garden rooms we stayed in would be great in the summer months with your own patio overlooking the garden.
