The host Nikki is outstanding and very helpful. The room size is good and comfortable. Warm electric blanket. Nikki helped us with our Whale trip but unfortunately it got canceled at last minute due to bad weather. Will stay here again without hesitation

Absolutely lovely property in easy safe walking distance of Hermanus centre. Safe secure parking within locked boundary. The owner was really friendly and helpful, with lots of advice of things to do and places to eat and drink. Comfortable clean accommodation and with a nice little swimming pool, although we were too busy to use it! Absolutely first class breakfast. Would definitely recommend and use again.

We loved our stay here. Stephan and Nikki are perfect hosts. The guest house is clean and very comfortable. It is right on the cliff path and close enough to walk into town. The breakfast is also amazing,cooked by Stephan. Couldn't have stayed anywhere better.

Excellent property with very professional service and comforting security. Superior rooms with great features including tea/coffee-making, good Wi-Fi, USB sockets by the bed. Breakfast excellent. Host Stefan very knowledgeable and helped us plan our onward travel. Situated a very short distance from the sea if you fancy whale watching and close enough to the town to reach a great selection of restaurants. We would highly recommend the Penguino.

Would highly recommend the Penguino. The hosts, Stefan and his wife Nikki are wonderful and really go out of their way to make your stay easy and comfortable. They can help you with any local tours or places to eat out. The breakfast was outstanding and the room amazing. Would definitely book again!

Perfect place to stay in Hermanus
We had a wonderful experience at Penguino Guest House. Stefan and Nikki were very welcoming and Stefan had lots of great local suggestions. The breakfast was fantastic. The guest house is just steps away from the Hermanus cliff path and great whale-watching. This is the place to stay in Hermanus!

The welcome from owners Ottie and Nikki was warm and full of offers to help and advise in any way. During our ten day stay, mainly to meet family nearby and deal with some issues following an untimely bereavement, our hosts were always kind and made us feel fully at home when we were at Penguino. Their staff were also warm and very efficient. And their dogs were lovely too!! Penguino is just off the amazing Hermanus cliff walk and is in easy walking distance of the town's plentiful shops and restaurants. It is a good base for both the town and the surrounding coast, beaches and nearby wine area.
