Loved the ambience—a very peaceful place. I felt at home despite staying for only two days. It was a beautiful spot with two sweet and lovely horses. The owner was kind and accommodating.

This motel is exceptionally well run. It was super clean, has a very good staff. The rooms were large, great shower, and very comfortable beds. We loved our stay and highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. Karen and Steve were excellent hosts. We were travelling by bus and the motel is located a fair walk from town so Karen took time out from her busy day to pick us up from the bus stop and to take us to the grocery store which we greatly appreciated. She also got us in contact with the local taxi service who also were very helpful and friendly.

The setting of the motel is beautiful, surrounded by trees in blossom, and with a view of Mt. Taranaki. The room was very spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen. A back door opened onto a deck, with comfortable wooden deck chairs, overlooking a beautiful big lawn surrounded by trees. I would have liked blinds over both the front and the back doors, as these let in a lot of light at night.
