Great location. It is on a major area for bars, restaurants etc so some may find it noisy - I did not have issues. The compact arrangement does make bed access a challenge for less mobile folks, but I slept well. The bathroom was good. No space for a chair in the room and Very little sitting space in the hotel itself. Kettle etc available, but no fridge. I'm happy with my stay.

The name was a giveaway for the size, number of, and quantity/quality of the amenities - snug. Incredibly tiny room, including an awfully designed bunk bed that caused all 3 adults to repeatedly bang/injure their heads. The room had no bedside tables, poorly placed power outlets and not enough space to place luggage. The bathroom was half the size of the room and spacious. The parking location and size was like the hotel - tiny/snug and dangerously designed. Great location, right on Quay Street, with everything walkable, but makes sleep impossible with the noise - where some other hotels have good sound insulation, this one had none.

Unique and comfortable
our family enjoyed the unique and comfortable style of the room. Most importantly for us we had 2 levels and 2 bathrooms so it was very convenient. We were right in the center of the local attractions and would definitely recommend this hotel.

No lift. Very difficult for guests with physical limitations. Staff always helped bring bags up the stairs. But the staff are proper lovely, the rooms comfortable and clean. Great location!!!

Positive: good looking space, nice washrooms and great location. Cons: Horrid mattresses - you can feel the individual springs and the hotel has no extra duvets or something to help you pad the mattress. It’s not clear in the description but this hotel is on top of and near many bars - they provide ear plugs to block out the noise. Would be a great stay if not for the mattress - the worst sleep we had while in Ireland.

You simply cannot beat this location. You are truly in thw heart of Galway and step out to all the shops and restaurants. The room are small (hence the name), but are well maintained and have everything you need to be comfortable. There is storage in the room for your personal items during your stay.

Cute small hotel in a great location. That being said, it’s extremely loud, so sadly if you plan on sleeping before the bars close at 3am, good luck. Oh, and no elevator, so pack light.

This is the perfect location for a solo or couple traveling wanting to experience Galway to the fullest without any hassle. The car park was right next door and easy to find. The hotel itself was surrounded by dining and drinking locations all within just a few minute walk. Convenience and ease of access made this stay unique compared to any other city in Ireland. Galway ended up being my favorite place to visit among all the major destinations in Ireland and The Snug Townhouse helped exceed expectations.

This property followed the wisdom of Maya Angelou, when people (or in this case a hotel) tells you who they are believe them! This is a stylish, centrally located, clean hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are exactly as advertised - snug. The area is lively, colourful, and full of spirit!!!! That said - we had to leave on the first night. The pub across the street plays music until late and despite provided ear plugs - it is incredibly loud. Staff were accommodating, moving us to another room that unfortunately had some consistent mechanical noise forcing us to pack a bag at 1:00am and search out another hotel. But that is really our bad, this hotel is a perfect fit for heavy sleepers, late night aficionados, or those looking to party the night away only to tumble into a comfy little burrow at 3am. It just was not for this light sleeper. So when a business says we are snug and located in the heart of the party district - believe it!!

We loved this cute little boutique hotel. It was clean, well maintained and the vibe just cool! Great location in the heart of all the fun. It does get a little loud in the evening but it is all part of the fun!
