Mountain Getaway

This was a nice long weekend stay and perfect for bringing the dog along. Host was friendly and accommodating. I knew what to expect from prior reviews about the broken hot tub taking up the porch so was no issue. Water pressure for shower was disappointing. Overall, great for a few days!

Visit with family in Eureka

We had a wonderful summer vacation! The house was perfect. Loved the location to my daughter’s home and Eureka is beautiful. No complaints at all! I would stay here again!

Problems

The location has a scenic view of the mountains but is ruined by a junkyard with approximately 30 disabled vehicles along with vehicle parts. This junkyard is about 30 yards from the cabin. Other parts of the property are littered with lumber and farm equipment which probably have not been moved in some time. As we addressed with the owners on the second day we were there, there was no water pressure in the kitchen sink. For the duration we had to wash dishes in the laundry area since they never returned to deal with the problem. On the back porch is a nonfunctional jacuzzi. It is joined by a nonfunctional BBQ grill that the owner attempted to fix. Interestingly, pictures on the VRBO website leave out both pieces of junk. The VRBO website lists air conditioning. That consists of one window unit in the main living area. The hose to the outside kept popping out so we had to reinsert it in the hole in the widow multiple times. A person with minor mobility problems is not able to use the shower/bathtub since it is so slick and the edge is too high. The hot water is way too hot. We have rented 20+ VRBO houses over the last three years and rely on the reviews when making a selection. I hope this review helps potential renters.

Beautiful Mountain Hideaway

Once you get to the house (follow Elena’s directions) the house is beautiful and you feel like you are in a field at the bottom of a mountain all to yourself. You feel secluded from the rest of the world and it is peaceful! Everything we needed was in the immaculately clean house. If you do need groceries or want to go out to eat, everything is close by. We had zero issues and will definitely be staying there again.

Beautiful Cabin

We really enjoyed our time at the tail end of winter hunkered down in the cabin. The view is incredible and we found some riding trails to walk the dogs a bit which was nice so we didn’t have to walk through the other homes on the property.

Excellent!

Really great overall stay, beautiful back yard view, quiet and safe. Very clean inside and the tub was awesome. A bit of a maze to find your way to the actual house, especially in the dark, but overall excellent stay and would stay again!

Beautiful Mountain Serenity

The cabin was absolutely stunning! And once you got to it after driving thru neighboring yards it was very quiet and peaceful. The only downside was having to drive thru multiple peoples yards/driveways to get to cabin. Other than that it was quiet and peaceful outside and the home was equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away.

Beautiful Montana cabin in lovely setting.

The cabin was beautiful and set looking out into a stand of trees and a mountain. I saw deer, turkeys, birds, and even a lone coyote trotting by at early morning. Everything you need in the cabin and more. Looking forward to my next stay.

Love this place

Breath taking views that do not get old looking out the wall of windows into the woods. Lovely brook on the side of the house. A lot of deer and turkeys on the property every day. Did not use upstairs, only 2 of us. Had a family of 5 over for a nice BBQ dinner. Located high up in the rolling hills in Eureka. The owners were so easy and accomadating. Must visit Trapper’s Saloon, just north on 93, a couple miles. Amazing gourmet food, best homemade cheesecakes. Definitely will return.

Super Sweet Wooded Retreat

Our new favorite place to stay in the Eureka area. Cozy, well-appointed, and nestled in the trees. View from the main room leaves you feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere. Communication with owner very friendly and helpful. We loved every minute and didn't want to leave.

Great property. Beautiful views from panoramic wall of windows. Wildlife in abundance.

The owner, Elena and her son , Daniel were very responsive to any issues…they even replaced the stove during our stay! The drive to the property on a paved , winding road was gorgeous….deer, cows, horses, beautiful views of farms and mountains and the valley.. The house was perfect for the two of us, but could easily accommodate 5 or 6 people…but only has one bathroom, so be aware if you have bathroom guests who like to “linger” . Every evening we were treated to a “dinner show” of a small herd of deer and a flock of wild turkeys, that we could watch from the dining table. The view also included a beautiful view of the mountain and evergreen forest. We were also treated to beautiful sunsets over the valley on the West side of the house. Overall, it was a fantastic property and fantastic stay; and we’re looking forward to returning next year.
