Lots of fun activities for the family. Attractive architecture. Great sea views. Good air conditioned rooms with flat screen TVs. The only issue was in the morning no water in the 2 rooms our family was staying so we were not able to take showers before breakfast and by the time breakfast was over it was 10am checkout time so we left the hotel without showers. Otherwise our stay there was really nice.

Lovely stay

We stayed for 2 nights as a family - 3 separate rooms last week. The food could be improved and the rate of service too. The rooms were amazing, big spacious and very clean! The grounds are well looked after and just so beautiful. There are different areas of the hotel to explore - we loved the sand banks and they arranged for us to get a boat to an island which was great! Thank you so much Kunduchi!

You should close down

I’ve been travelling for 19 years both for work and personally and this place is something else - Toilet in bathroom was leaking - Door of bathroom was rotten from water damage - TV didn’t work - Fridge was empty (even though there was a menu with prices for drinks in room) and it was rusted inside. - No room service menu in room (had to request this 3 times) - the room I booked on Expedia was different to my actual room - I paid to have a room with seating on a balcony but didn’t get one - music was thumping outside until late night on Friday and Saturday night - housekeeping forgot to leave toilet paper/shower gel or fresh drinking water twice - Pretty much has to call reception 3 times before anytime was auctioned - I went down for breakfast and didn’t like the buffet and asked if could order a la carte. I was told I couldn’t order anything until Midday. I spoke with the manager of the hotel and she had to go into the kitchen to ask the chef to make something for me. - I booked the hotel and they had a water park attached to it and my offer included free entry. I asked for my pass on Saturday morning and was told I couldn’t go as the park had a private booking. The person who checked me in on the Friday failed to inform me. - WiFi was terrible and kept on getting thrown off it. - staff not very well trained at front desk.

Much improvement needed

We booked online, and when we arrived to check in, they made us pay additional tourism fees. There was no hot water in the showers. The pools were dirty. Food was not well prepared - our ice cream was soupy and melted, our pizza dough was still raw... we asked for green peppers to be left out of food due to a food allergy, but they put green peppers in anyhow... they did nothing to take care of these issues. We were harassed by the security guards and not allowed to take photos on the beach unless we paid additional fees for each photo. It is a beautiful place with a lot of potential, but nobody is concerned about the small details that make a business successful. When a guest is traveling for a vacation they want to enjoy their experience not to be frustrated the whole time. We will never return to this place.

Kunduchi great for kids

Nice hotel and water park is great for the kids although more safety precautions would be good at the water park. Great staff and the management cared about guests and continuously asked for feedback. The receptionist named Chiku was very helpful, welcoming and extemely nice. The room we stayed in was a bit small and the food quality and variation was mediocre. Beach could do with cleaning and it would be good to have entertainment in the evenings. All in all a great family holiday location. Thank you team kunduchi!

Beatiful beach, Exhilarating Water park!

We were there last week for our 10th anniversary and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The white sand beach is quite a site. The Music will soothe any soul. Make sure you visit the Water park for the "out of this world" adrenaline pumping monster slides. Only drawback back is once you book online you tend to be treated as a second class citizen. In a subtle way you'll be told, "next time book directly with the hotel"

The hotel location is excellent. The hotel self is average and certainly not worth the rate being charged. As a favourite venue for the wealthy it also means other guests get inconvenienced with loud music booming till mid-night or later. Perhaps it is great for the wedding guests but not for . Throughout my stay I felt everything is being done in a very stingy way - only one small bottle of water in the room, no replacement of soaps until you squeezed the last bit out, pens and masking tape gets rationed as if there is a national scarcity, cheap powder coffee with meals, etc

...food was low quality, poor variety, long lines for omelet and fresh juice for breakfast. Coffee to be avoided by all means. At arrival, copying the passport was a problem, at the departure the credit card could not be used because of lack of Internet connection. Other than that, the place is magnificent, the rooms have a beautiful view, the flowery plants covering the outside walls are a dream...

Famliy Break at Kunduchi Beach Dar A Salaam

Hotel Location is far from Dar a Salaam., so one can be stuck without transport. The Hotel is of good standard, but needs upgrading. The breakfast offered good choices however repeated each day. We did not have any evening meals so cannot comment. The Beach is isolated and hence gave privacy, The white sandy beach is clean and pleasant, with very little interference from beach sellers. The sea had very little weed and when we visited in July, the water was pleasantly warm. The swimming pool was of good size,with Bar, kept well, and the grounds were also clean, however the Sun lounger mats needs replacing urgently. Towels provided were clean. Near by there is the Water park, and this is free for residents to use. The cost of the food in Hotel is comparably High. There is a Charge for Internet Wi-Fi @ $10 per 24 hrs or 500 MB, this can be very expensive, if you have 4 iphone users, The Hotel has a Conference Centre, so one would have expected Wi-fi to be Free. The GM and staff were pleasant and helpful at all time.

One problem after another - awful hotel!

The show had only a trickle of luke warm to cool water. The phone did not work. My safe did not work. None of these problems was solved despite me complaining within minutes of check-in. My bath mat (hanging over the edge of the tub) was covered in a carpet of mold when I went to put it in the tub! Add to that, we had to wait 45 minutes at the airport for "more people" and couldn't leave until we finally approached a taxi, found out he'd have taken us immediately for the same price ($45 USD) as our shuttle, and threatened to leave to the shuttle driver. Top it off, the shuttle died before we got all the way to the hotel, so we had to get out and walk the last 500 yards or so. Just unacceptable. Also note that they charge $10/ day for internet and it only connects one device easily at a time (too bad if you want multiple connected)! Go anywhere else. This place is truly horrid. The only saving grace is a nice set of staff that clearly wants to help -but has neither the English skills nor the quality hotel behind them to make it count!

Hot water to no water

When I arrived at this hotel I was very impressed by the way I was welcomed. A cold cloth to cool down my face from the extreme hot weather and a cold drink all this before I even checked in. The lobby is very lavish and had an extremely open let luxuries look which I have never seen before. The room was unique in design and a large balcony with a tanning bed of sort but unfortunatly as I prepared to shower open the tabs. To my surprise cold water came out tried different things like the other tab then the sink tab then called reception they sent a guy who took a half hour to get (might not have been 30min exactly but when your waiting to shower with your towel wrapped around your waist time stops) When he finally arrived he fixed it then left. I jumped in turned the tab...nothing came out. Called the reception again the guy came back and this time he finally got it right and I got to have my shower an hour or two after check in. Not impressed.
