Nice place, ghosted about discount
This home is spacious and met our group’s needs for a busy ski weekend except for missing one functional bathroom. The host informed us of a water line (out to a second building containing bedrooms and a bathroom, not connected to the main house) freezing 1 week before our stay for Birkie 2025 (arguably the busiest time of the year for the Cable area). We said we would make it work. It was inconvenient to walk between buildings to use the bathroom / shower and so we asked if the host would consider providing a discount for our stay. They briefly responded that they would “look into it” and then absolutely no more contact. Disappointing.

Wonderful stay!
A cozy stay in the woods! We had a great stay- plenty of beds, a well equipped kitchen, and a great location. We were there in the winter so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake, but the house is only 15 minutes away from world class skiing at the Birkie Trailhead! The converted garage was also a great addition. We recommend! 10/10

"We found our spot!"
For the past 6 years we have tested out various VRBO properties, trying to find the "perfect" spot for our family get togethers...and this past Labor Day weekend, we found it! Our requirements included: 1. Sandy beach with gradual depth so the grandkids could play...check! 2. Clear water so we could swim off the pontoon boat or dock...check! 3. Lake that's large enough to pull a raft behind the boat, but not over crowded with boaters...check! 4. A large, clean property...check! This house is absolutely perfect for our family. There are two large bedrooms on the main floor, a cute "playroom" loft above the kitchen. Then, there is the bonus space of the two bedrooms and one bathroom above the game room in the garage. This allowed my daughter with 4 young kids to stay in a separate building so she didn't have to keep them quiet when they woke up at 5:30 am. 5. Deck...check! The beautiful deck is huge, so we could all sit around comfortably. And the bonus is that it's low to the ground, so we didn't have to worry about the grandkids falling off. We will definitely come back again!

Family vacation
This was our second year at this location, and it was as wonderful as the first. Wonderful kayaking, swimming, enjoying sunsets, stargazing, and hiking in the area. The home was clean and comfortable. Thank you!!!

Something for everyone 9 to 69!
We have rented other prperties in the past, but this is by far the best. We loved all the amenities, the sandy beach, long dock, and especially clear clean water. Easy access to tne lake. Grandkids loved the game room and sleeping quarters. Thanks for helping us make memories to last a lifetime.

Women's Weekend
Lake was amazing and clear, we were able to get into the water easily. All the beds are really comfortable. The pictures don't do it justice its such a cute place and decorated nicely. Was very clean and taken care of. The hosts were very helpful and gave us details on where to rent UTV and a nice dinner. We loved both so much! Thank you John/Kim for opening your cabin up to renters such as us. We definitely loved the area and the loon was a fun bar within a few miles as well. Was such a great place for a bunch over overworked moms to stay and relax.

My husband and I and our 3 adult children who also brought friends had a fantastic time! Great Lake, appreciate the kayaks and paddle boat! Had so much fun on the lake and we all loved the game too! We had perfect weather, would definitely do again!

Great stay - relaxing, peaceful, but also lots to do
We had a great time staying in Crystal Lake. The shallow water at the end of the dock was the perfect peaceful place for hours of playing in the water. We also enjoyed fishing and the game room. All in all it was a great stay.

Great Cabin in a Great Location
The cabin was exactly as described in the listing. It was the perfect home base for our Birkie weekend. It is a quick trip to Cable and a nice quiet place to relax. The owners were very responsive to our questions.

Lakes and trails
Cabin and guest house were very inviting. I loved the location with the lake to take a dip to cool off, the ATV trails everywhere, and plenty of eating establishments nearby if your looking for a bite to eat. I would definitely go back to this cabin.

Spectacular get away!
I would recommend this home to everyone! It is a beautiful home with all the amenities you could need. The home was very clean and the views were spectacular from the dock that is located just right outside the back door of the cabin! My teens had a great time taking the kayaks and the paddle boat out. My son was excited to catch his first small mouth bass right off the dock! The garage will also have alot to offer once complete , with the pool table and foosball table. Overall a very memorable vacation!

Family cabin trip
We had a total of 9 of us and the hosts made accommodations so we didn’t have to sleep on the sofa sleeper. Everything was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed and more. The lake was a dream, especially for the younger kids. Great fishing and crystal clear. We played all the games, pool table, and all the water toys. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

The space was clean and accommodated all seven of us for cooking/eating, games and fishing. We also utilized several of the nearby trails for biking. The internet was strong and reliable enough for one of us to work remotely without any issues.

4th annual Guys getaway
There were 9 of us that stayed at this property. It was very accommodating and the house was spectacular. The pictures don't do it justice. We do a big trip every year and this was the best place we've stayed at hands down. The lake its right out the back door and your relatively close to a bunch of bars/restaurants and recreational activities. The host was fantastic to work with. They went above and beyond to make sure all nine of us at separate beds. If you're looking for a "True UP North Wisconsin Getaway" look no further.
