Awesome Smith Lake Retreat

Beautiful home, with multi level dock. Manicured grounds with 2 BBQ's and firepits, comfortable furniture inside and out, with many sitting areas. Well stocked with toiletries, paper products, and very well stocked kitchen. Nothing to do but relax!

Title: Perfect Winter Getaway – Stunning Views & Outstanding Hospitality!

Our stay was absolutely incredible! Communication was seamless, with quick responses and great recommendations from Bob and Monique that made our trip even better.The home was spotlessly clean, well-stocked with supplies, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even in the winter, the views were breathtaking, and we loved cozying up by the fire pits, enjoying the peacefulness of the lake.The hospitality was top-notch, and we felt so well taken care of. If you’re considering a stay, don’t hesitate—this place is a true gem!

Can’t find anything to complain about!

Boy, we hit this one out of the park. Seven adults (26+) celebrated a milestone birthday at a beautiful property on the most quiet piece of land. The views are exceptional, the kitchen has everything you’ll ever need and then some, the beds are comfortable, the house is quiet, and you could eat off the floors it’s so clean. We were welcomed and made comfortable before, during and even after we left. Ten star service in a ten star house. We look forward to the next visit. Thank you to Bob, Karen and Monique for everything.

Everything you want to do under one roof

The house hosted 6 adult and 4 kids perfectly. For the kids: there is a game room, grass area to play on, and large deck to fish and swim off of. For the adults: game room, mini bar, comfortable living and eating space, multiple decks to relax, 2 firepit areas, and large lakeside deck with coach, bar top table and lounge chairs. We also brought our boat, which was accommodated at the dock on the property. Be prepared for a stair climb as the property is located perfectly on a hillside. We had such a great time there, that the 3 days flew by too fast. BUT the best part of the property was the owner and caretaker giving full attentions and communication on anything we needed and even suggested local activities in the area. Beware of the steep and narrow Drive way and make sure to not bring a boat trailer down the road. Leave it by the mailboxes if you do not want to rent a spot at marina

Family vacation with kids and grandkids

The house is lovely, and the owners have certainly put a lot of thought into making sure everything you might need while there is available. Both the owner and caretaker reached out prior to our arrival to welcome us and to reinforce that if we needed anything we just needed to let them know. The caretaker responded to my texts very promptly. We had a wonderful family vacation at Clearwater Shores.

Perfect Family Lake house!

We absolutely loved our stay at Clearwater Shores on Smith Lake. The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious for our large family. The views were amazing and the extra deck by the lake was so nice to sit and relax by the water. Our kids had the best time playing in game-room and fishing and swimming by the dock. Robert was the most caring and kind host. We can’t wait to come back soon!

Perfect Lake House

What a fabulous lake house! The house is clean, beautiful, and well-maintained. Three bedrooms upstairs, master on the main level, and another bedroom in the lower level is a great layout. We had such a great time with the game room. There was so much to do between the arcades, air hockey, pool table, and cornhole. And of course, jumping and swimming off the dock. It was great having the dock to tie up the boat we rented. Our kids did hours and hours of tubing. Smith Lake water is clean and beautiful. We stayed five nights in June, but I think next time we will stay seven. We had such a great time! Looking forward to coming back next summer!!

Clearwater Shores is a gorgeous property! The house is very spacious and beautifully decorated. It is well supplied with cooking essentials and other lake items like towels, etc. The owner and property manager were always quick to respond and very helpful!

A great spring break vacation

Clearwater Shores was a great house for our families. The accommodations were perfect. All of the bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. Fabulous updated kitchen. Robert, the owner made sure we had everything we needed at the house. He checked in with us a couple times during our stay to make sure everything was as promised. The property manager Monique, was fabulous. She was quick to respond to any questions we had and did anything she could to make sure our stay was enjoyable as possible. We would definitely consider staying at Clear Water Shores again.

Highly recommended!

This home was warm, welcoming and wonderful! We especially enjoyed the view and the fire pit! And the owners were so kind in making this a dog-friendly home. We enjoyed bringing our four-legged family members with us! The owners/caretaker thought of everything and were so communicative. There was a slight chance of bad weather and they went above and beyond offering extra amenities to keep us comfortable! You can’t go wrong with this location!

Family Christmas 2023

First off, the owner is very responsive, very helpful and communicates well. Can't say enough about the views from this house, all three floors have great views. the house was decorated for Christmas, which was greatly appreciated, and the kitchen was fully stocked for us to create our Christmas dinner. Rooms were large, beds were comfortable and there were sufficient bathrooms in the house. The house was exceptionally clean. 5 star property in every way!

Christmas Getaway

The house is AMAZING! Robert was very eager to answer ANY questions we had, before arrival. The pictures of this house DO NOT do it justice! The whole property is breathtaking. It was very private. There was plenty of room for my wife, me, and my 5 kids. There was enough room where we weren’t tripping over each other. We all had our own spaces. Even though it was cold weather, we still enjoyed our time, inside the house. The kids (and I, hehe) loved the arcade games, pool table, and air hockey. It gave me a chance to teach the kiddos how to play pool. There’s SO much to do outside, as well. My girls and I fished off the dock. There’s numerous places outside to enjoy time together! All you need to bring is the food! The house had EVERYTHING and then some! We had an early Christmas dinner, one night. The dinner table was perfect for my big family. The next night, I made use of the Pellet Grill and grilled out. There’s also a VERY nice fire pit where we built a nice fire and made s’mores! I could go on and on about the property! We can not wait to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the lake more! The view from the master bedroom is AMAZING to wake up to! Robert is an amazing host! Do NOT hesitate to book Clearwater Shores!!

Fantastic Thanksgiving

The eight members of my family and two of our friends stayed over Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. House is beautiful and so is the property. The kitchen is the best equipped rental I have ever seen. The game room was great for when it was raining but we were outside much of the time. Our grandsons are avid fisherman and had a great time catching and releasing catfish, bass & other species right from the dock. They loved it and are already asking when we will come back. Owner and property manager are great at giving local info and helpful advice. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for all of us. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property to anyone looking to vacation in this area.

Bi-Annual Jeep Trip

As we ventured for our 2023 Fall Jeep trip, we found a gem on shores of Lewis Smith Lake in Bemen, AL. The property is stunning and has every amenity you need for little piece of paradise. Beautiful scenary, immaculate condition, upgraded to the latest and greatest interior and exterior designs. Super clean and super fun! Very close to Stoney Lonesome Offroad park. However, what made this destination special were the owners, the Ekman's and the property manage Monique. The nicest most accommodating hosts we have ever worked with in the 18 years we have been booking through VRBO.

Awesome Property

Clearwater Shores is a beautiful home and property that provided our family and friends a place to make lifelong memories. The house is beautifully furnished and made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. There were plenty of games for the kids to play and the arcade was a blast! The views are absolutely incredible from sunrise to sunset. The owners are friendly and were accommodating from the moment we booked the property. They answered any questions and gave recommendations to make our trip even more pleasant. Location Location

This was our first time to visit Smith Lake. Our family had a great time at Clearwater shores for our annual get together! We stayed during the 4th of July, and were 10 minute boat rides to two different firework shows. The property was very nice, with great views of the lake. The rooms are large and you will appreciate the space. We have smaller kids and they loved the game room, along with a safe driveway in the front of the home to ride their bikes back and forth. Bob was very accommodating and made us feel welcome from when we first booked. You can really tell the Ekman’s take pride in their home. We hope to be back soon!

Perfect!

Our visit to Smith Lake did not disappoint. The house and landscaping were immaculate. Also, our family loved all of the places to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The boat dock was accommodating and perfect for our boat. It was nice to be able to leave it under a roof protected. The owners were so kind and responded immediately. The house was so nice with lots of extras to make our trip more comfortable. We will definitely return again and hope to make it an annual trip. Thank you!
