Our room had numerous toenail clippings, red sand, GREASY counters and a mystery crusty "spray residue" on the tiny TV. Front desk, no questions asked, moved us next door. (She is the only good part about this hotel. Amazing woman.)
Next room had mold along the ceiling and the entire bathroom ceiling is water damaged and COVERED in mold. Paint is bubbling. Faucet had either dried toothpaste or lotion on it. Toilet had dried diarrhea down the side of the bowl and was covered in long and short black hairs. Shampoo bottle stains still on bathroom floor. Shower curtain was inside out and had a tear. Mold in grout. Rusted toilet paper holder. Curtains smelled of cigarette smoke and the detector was lying next to the TV...The wires where it used to be in the ceiling were hanging down. Refrigerator has a missing leg and rocks. Luckily, I had packed some sanitizing wipes and wiped down the toilet and faucet. I was too tired to move to a 3rd room so we just slept with the bathroom door closed. Oh and my kids socks were BLACK by bedtime so that carpet could probably benefit from a deep cleaning. The whole room felt "wet" and so humid. A vent would help.
Breakfast... I passed on toast, boiled eggs, and waffles. The coffee was great!
Whoever the housekeeper manager is, they are not doing their job of checking behind the housekeepers. I wanted to tell the front desk lady all of this at checkout but she was too busy on speakerphone with her friend to even say good bye.
