Our recent stay at Esplanade Zagreb can be summarized as rather average, falling short of the expectations typically associated with a five-star hotel. The property exudes an air of age, with a noticeable lack of attention to detail evident in various aspects of our experience.
One notable issue was the oversight in replenishing basic amenities in our room following housekeeping visits. The absence of a coffee cup and water glass meant we were unable to enjoy a cup of coffee at our convenience. Additionally, the Wi-Fi connectivity was disappointingly slow, and the television was non-functional, failing to connect to our devices. Furthermore, the television itself was notably undersized.
The provision of toiletries also left much to be desired, with miniature versions of L'Occitane cream and shampoo/conditioner being provided. Despite our attempts to address these concerns via email, we regrettably received no response, a lapse in communication uncharacteristic of a luxury establishment.
Upon our arrival, we found the absence of a doorman or staff member to greet us and escort us to the reception area to be a noticeable oversight. Furthermore, there was no assistance offered with the transportation of our luggage to our room.
In the dining facilities, while the quality of the food was commendable, the cocktails served were notably lacking in quality.
Efforts to escalate our concerns to the management were met with disappointment!
