We have stayed at Palmer Inn many times over the years. Back when this was the Palmer Inn, everything was great. When ABVI took over, things started downhill but were tolerable. Now that Sonesta is involved, it's no longer a nice place to stay. Rooms are very dated. Toilet wax seal leaked when flushed. No other King bed rooms available. Paint flaking off walls. Door lock key card reader did not work consistently. Housekeeping gave us clean towels but never changed the bedding. Shower fixtures were calcified and corroded. We will never book there, again.

We had an easy time checking in and out. The breakfast was very limited - only cereal, white bread, and waffles. The staff was helpful. The room was pretty nice. It's what we expected from a motel-type hotel.

I reserved a room when I was on the road about 90 minutes earlier. I checked in after 10 pm. The fairer half of the apparently live in management couple was cordial at check in. However, the other half of the couple was visibly annoyed when I came back to get help with the keyless door system. He was able to use the magnetic card effortlessly to allow me in my room. When I demonstrated my technique, I was once again unable to gain entry. The male manager simply said, you’ll be here all night if you keep doing it that way. I gave no indication, in my mind that I had learned to use this obviously simple system. I was disappointed that, despite the late hour, he didn’t make sure I could regain entry to my room. This caused me to leave my door open when I unloaded and reloaded my car. In the morning, I left my entry door ajar when I went for the free breakfast. Needless to say, I would have felt more comfortable and welcome if the manager had managed a small measure of hospitality for my circumstance. The meaning of hospitality is the ability to make your guests feel comfortable and at ease. Unfortunately, this visit failed in that regard.

This was the world's smallest toilet and shower area. The bed was as hard as the floor. The manager was friendly and let us check in early. This place was old in 1975. The room smelled stale.

I liked the easy checkin in and check out. The overall room left something to be desired. There was body was in the dispenser attached to the shower wall. The non slip mat in the tub looked old and there wasn't any shampoo or conditioner or lotion.

It was in a good location. It is an older building. The room was okay. A bit on the dirty side. They had office chairs and the seats were very stained and dirty looking didn’t sit on them. One queen bed comforter had stains and holes on it. Didn’t sleep on it. Chose other bed. The floors were not real clean either.

Decidedly filthy; on opening the door rubbish i.e. nail clipping on the carpet, towel in refrigerator collecting water one end into a trash can, bad musty mold smell. Had to spray the room with my car antibacterial. For the money, 1/10 and unhealthy. Avoid.
