Welcome to Northaven! Family-friendly lakefront cabin in the White Mountains!

Serene, four-season lakefront log cabin located in the White Mountains. Located on Lower Mountain Lake (privately owned), the lake is fishable without an NH fishing license. Fully equipped with a stocked kitchen, memory foam mattresses, 3 Smart TVs (1 with cable, all with Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video), and WiFi. Enjoy swimming and use of non-motorized watercraft on Upper and Lower Mountain Lakes (with rec area and lifeguards), community pool, basketball, and tennis courts. In the winter grab your sleds and ice skates and head to the Lodge. Hot cocoa and coffee are available on weekends and during school vacation weeks. Only 10 minutes from the White Mountain National Forest, 15 minutes from The Lost River, and 30 minutes from Lincoln/Woodstock (Loon Mountain, Alpine Adventures, Whale's Tale, Clarks Trading Post, Kancamagus Highway, shops, etc).

***Please note: This property is located in the mountains. Weather can change quickly. Storms are known to disrupt cable and Internet services. There is also very limited cell phone service in the area. While inside the property, simply switch your calls to WiFi calling and connect to our WiFi.

Also, the neighboring cabin is in relatively close proximity. Lake access from the property is limited to kayaks/canoes. Swimming is available on both lakes at the rec center.***

The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 4 bedrooms. Guests can expect free WiFi and a Smart TV with a DVD player and Netflix. The memory foam bed provides a full night's sleep and the bathroom offers hair dryers. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and a phone.

Lovely Lakehouse

Our stay at the Northaven lakehouse was lovely. The house was a perfect size for my family of four (two older teens). The AC was very welcomed and worked great. (it was a steamy week) The location on the lake was great and we utilized the kayaks and canoe provided almost every day. Fishing seems to be an unknown secret because we saw almost no one and caught (and released) huge bass every time we went out. Susan was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. Access to shopping and activities was good enough when you consider that getting to anything in NH requires traversing a mountain!

Outstanding stay

We had a wonderful week in New Hampshire at Northaven! All our kids loved the kayaks and we went on the water every day. There is so much to do within an hours drive that it is the perfect location. Communication with the host was outstanding. We had a power outage due to a major storm and Susan sent us regular updates. Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful cabin!

This cabin is absolutely beautiful and cozy! My family and I loved staying here. It felt like a home away from home. From the large backyard with firepit and many chairs around it, as well as the nice water view, to the large cozy couch and open concept kitchen, dining and livingroom. The bedrooms were all good sized with comfortable beds and wonderful cabin decor! Any and all questions I had, were promptly and courteously answered by the owners. We hope to be back in the near future.

Lakeside Vacation

This cozy cabin was one of the best properties we’ve rented. The photos don’t do it justice. The furnishings are comfortable and clean, the kitchen has everything you need for cooking, and the lake view is beautiful. We loved having kayaks, canoe, and life vests at our disposal. We loved our stay at Susan and Rich’s cabin! It was our second time staying here and our experience was even better after knowing the area and all the activities to do. Great family spot

This is a great vacation home. Very comfortable and clean, with owners who are super responsive. The ACs and WIFI worked great, although we got no Verizon cell phone reception, given the mountains. My boys caught a lot of fish - mostly right off the two docks. We played Scrabble and Sorry, swam, kayaked and canoed, and enjoyed the firepit. A few notes: The house next door is pretty close. The pool wasn't open yet, but I think they were having some issues with it that should be resolved soon. It was very small anyway but the two beaches were totally fine. Finally, while it felt remote a grocery store and Walmart were 15 minutes away and North Woodstock and Lincoln were about 30 minutes for restaurants, a movie theater, and other shops.

A fabulous quiet mountain oasis where quality family time can be enjoyed by all.

Check in & out was a breeze. The cabin had everything my family needed & much more. We loved the use if the kayaks. The weather was not the greatest our whole stay however the cabin is equipped with multiple forms of entertainment so we never felt we missed out. The bed are comfortable, the views are relaxing from the porch or inside and the cabin is decorated nicely. It felt like our own home away from home.

Fantastic winter getaway!

We were looking for a cozy, remote cabin to rent in New Hampshire to accommodate family traveling from VT, NJ and RI. Northhaven cabin was the perfect fit and was exactly as advertised! Susan emailed us of the check-in process ahead of time and the cabin was well stocked with all the necessary comforts needed for a long weekend in the snowy north country!
