A nice stay
The hotel was clean and the room a good size for three adults. The food was good and we ate the buffet on both nights. We were told it would be a forty-five minute wait for a-la carte. The gym facilities need improving! There is not much around the hotel so if you are wanting to do a safari, then a one night stay would be enough. The pool area was nice - a beautiful view!

Really nice place near wildlife park. Staff is super friendly. Lunch mediocre - only burgers, etc, dinner much better, Italian as well as local foods, breakfast the best w/ a great variety.

Could be so much better
This property has potential to be so much more interesting and enjoyable but lacks managerial insight and imagination . There is a fantastic rooftop to watch the sunset from and there are no tables or service anywhere in sight . Front desk lacked answers to questions and didn't seem motivated to provide any . General atmosphere needs improvement .

Nice hotel near safari park
This is one of the closest hotels (1-2 miinutes drive) to Udawalawa nationaj park, which is well worth the visit. Hotel itself is a big lace for tour groups, so rather hectic, but rooms are reasonably nice.

Good choice for visitors to Udawalawe
Centauria Wild is well located very near the Udawalawe reservoir and it is easy to get to the nature reserve. The hotel itself is quite comfortable and staff are friendly. We had a brief problem with ants on our bed but they changed our room and the new one was fine. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel - buffet style with a lot of choice but not exceptional. Will stay here again

Five star hotel...all the way.
I have to say this hotel is nothing short of amazing. Great service, upscale hotel at a reasonable price. Lounge was relaxing, a fun retreat after adventuring. Restaurant had good food, well presented. Al a carte was delicious with a creative presentation. Buffet breakfast and dinner a solid choice with lots or choice. International menu. Pool was clean and refreshing. Rooms, spacious, clean, comfortable and private, think infinity room with view to the jungle. Close to local attractions. Staff friendly and helpful.

We got a room upgrade which was a suite and spacious, overlooking the pool. Overall, the hotel was very nice, clean and the staff generally helpful. The swimming pool was large and very clean. Food was OK.The only let down was the dining room which was large and unfriendly. Lots of tour parties who had eaten most of the buffet before we arrived and despite assurances, were not filled up. The dining room staff service was also slow and unfriendly.

Falls short of expectations
I understand this is a new property, however they need to hire a consultant to educate them on hospitality. The beds are not comfortable. The internet was spotty. There were ants in the room and in the beds, thus it made for a terrible night sleep. Additionally, we booked a safari through the hotel and there was no one in the lobby in the morning to coordinate the activity. This could be a great property as it is in a great area, but needs some attention to details.

Stopover after Safair
Stayed one night after safari at udawalawe national park, the main entrance is a few minutes up the road. It was off season so the main restaurant was closed, we ate lunch in cafe. The food was good but the service was quite pushy, kept asking what we wanted for desert even after we said we didn't want any. The room was clean, and the pool was fantastic. The hotel was perfect for our needs.

Close to the park
The hotel is close to the park. The jeep ride to the entrance was probably about 5 minutes. The hotel is beautiful, but the bathroom could use an extra once-over with some cleaning products. The gym is in a muggy room which seems like an after-thought. It was not well air conditioned and nobody was there. (Not sure which is the cause, which is the effect.) The food was delicious for the adults, although a bit hard to find something for a kid who doesn't eat spicy food. The pool is warm and beautiful!

Need some fine tuning but has wow factor.
A new hotel that is spotlessly clean with enormous rooms and very swish bathrooms and has caring staff but several major issues. It is not suitable for anyone with a mobility problem as there are no lifts and flights of steps everywhere with some major tripping hazards. The pool is beautiful, with lots of sun beds but no sun shades so not used much. The food was for the most part not good as it was served cold, however on our final morning, after many complaints to the Restraunt manager we had a superb breakfast, hot, varied and delicious so they can do it if they try. We were told that most of the staff are trainees, but nobody seems to be training them which is a pity as they are keen to serve. Having said all that I would recommend the hotel, in spite of its faults it doe have wow factor and as it is so near Udawalawa.
