The place is beautiful but service is very bad specially in the front desk. They were useless and not friendly when we wanted to extend our stay. Then people kept coming to our room to check like 4 5 times once they opened the room without knocking at our door. Also, do you need to charge for the coffee cups? And put the coffee away at 11:00 am? That is really greedy. This was the first place we have seen this and we do travel a lot!

Beautiful Setting but Some Room for Improvement

Lovely lodge in a beautiful setting. We really enjoyed the lodge and the common areas. The rooms seemed a bit more outdated but were still clean and a decent sized. Pros: Beautiful location with stunning views (especially when Denali is visible) Fire-pits in the evening were a nice place to gather, have smores, and relax. A few short hiking trails (go up to the treehouse-beautiful view from there!), playground for kids, and just a very comfortable, mountain lodge vibe. Cons: This lodge is in the middle of nowhere, so the closest real town is Talkeetna, which is about an hour away. The lodge offers shuttles for $10 round trip, and it's worth the day trip, as it's a very cute town but it's a bummer it's so far away. Food. Expensive, limited offerings, and not the best quality. It was ok, service was ok, but when it would be nice to have more choices since there's really no other options nearby. No Mini-Fridges in rooms. Overall, we enjoyed this place and would consider staying here again if the situation arose, though we would likely choose to stay closer to Talkeetna or another town.

Loved the soundproof, spacious rooms. Rooms were very clean but carpet had stains. Lots of interesting activities put on by the hotel.Parking could be difficult. Rooms on the second floor are reached by stairs only - no elevator. No room has a view but there is an amazing view from the terrace of the main hotel.Overall we loved it and would certainly stay again.

We enjoyed the location of the property and the option to choose from several walking paths! The staff “room service” were very quick to respond and even helped us out when we needed duct tape! (don’t ask 🙃)

The rooms were completely soundproof which was great. Hotel has a terrace with a wonderful view of Mt McKinley. Just be aware that none of the rooms have views amd there is no fridge or microwave on the rooms.

This lodge is gorgeous! Food was excellent, and there was a shuttle to the town for those that did not want to drive. Beautiful area and great views of Denali from the main lodge!
