Loved the location and the amenities in the hotel. Having the hotel walking distance from all the shopping areas and tourist attractions made my solo trip easy. Enjoyed my time in Tokyo.

This hotel has access to everything. Being slightly claustrophobic, I was given a room without a view, but I managed to slightly open the window so the cool air could come in. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaner, I must say, during my stay, was amazing. The onsen was clean; however, they don’t provide towels—you have to bring one from your room. They also have laundry services, but you can do your own laundry as well, which I did. I will probably stay at this hotel again the next time I visit Tokyo.

This location is close enough to walk to Shinjuku but far away enough that it was quiet to sleep at night. It was not very busy at night but you could walk 5-6 minutes to explore nightlife in Shinjuku.

Many things in this APA hotel is great. Subway station is like 1-2 min away for Red line(M); about 5-10 mins away from another stop which has both M line and F line (brown)the big department store Isetan and the large Shinjuku Uniqlo are about 15 mins walk. The breakfast is not too bad, needed a day to get used to from normal American breakfast. The Staff were very friendly and helpful, but I believe it would help if their English is a little better. 1 of the staff told me 500yen service fee for calling taxi, but after I left, I think he might mean to say the taxi would cost 500 yen to start. He sounded like the hotel charge 500 yen to help calling taxi since he said service fee. Oh well. Lastly, the only thing I would want to complain is the bed is way way too soft, I felt like the bed swallow me and made my back and neck hurts. Everything else is fine.

More miss than hit.
Room is very small. If you’d like an iron you have to go down to reception everyday to borrow one for 2 hours. Room can get very stuffy, could not get air conditioning to work however when the room was serviced it was switched on somehow by the worker. Breakfast was terrible, I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Bathroom is clean but room walls had marks, carpet didn’t feel clean. Bed clean but stiff. For the price point in Tokyo I’m sure there would be better. Reasonably good location.

Very basic hotel. Rooms are tiny, and not really good for more than one person. Location is good. Hotel is clean. Bed was very uncomfortable, had a dip in centre of mattress. We arrived in Tokyo late after a long day travelling and were emailed at 8pm saying if we didn’t arrive by 12 our booking would be cancelled. I had prepaid for 2 nights so this added unnecessary stress to our journey. Thankfully I saw the email and was able to reply.

APA needs update
I have stayed at this hotel in previous years and booked it again because of the location; however, with the explosion of tourism this hotel has been overwhelmed. Service was excellent both at front desk and housekeeping, but the room shows sign of wear, dings in the wall and worn carpet, etc. The elevator bank is insufficient for the volume of guests (and housekeeping) so they're almost always packed and I was waiting a lot. The worst part was the heat has been turned on and the room was too hot. The offered solution was to open the window, which in Tokyo made for a loud night. I would consider staying here again, but I would probably go elsewhere first.
