3 night stay over NYE 24/25- staff excellent. Only complaint is slightly noisy through door but no outside noise which was great. Bed comfortable, kitchenette just right for small meal prep and bathroom clean and functional.

The room was very tiny and the bathroom had a terrible smell that wouldn’t go away. We booked a balcony with a view and got no balcony and the view was a building wall

I travel often and I don't believe I have ever come across such a wonderful staff. Everyone for the people at the front desk to the service staff were lovely people. They really made me want to come back for another stay. The rooms were clean and well serviced. The area around was very nice with many restaurants and coffee shops, and they to were filled with some of the nicest people i have encounter while traveling. I would strongly recommend staying here.

The Macleay Hotel is well-managed, staff are friendly & professional, and it's been a feature of Potts Pt for years. It offers everything a traveller needs, and everything in their rooms works - aircon, TV, frig, etc. This is surprisingly unusual in many mid-level hotels in Sydney now. No over-complicated & unreliable tech features (eg with aircon, TV) & kitchen area is well-stocked with glassware, crockery & cutlery. Great views of Sydney Harbour from harbour-facing rooms. Summary- old-fashioned service values, good-sized, clean & tasteful rooms where everything works, & great location make it my preferred place to stay in Sydney on visits.

Very hot room, poor air conditioning, broken fan, unable to open windows due to construction noise, no screens on windows, and heat coming through unglazed windows. On arrival we found the last guests review stating all the same issues. Very disappointing

This is not a 4 stars hotel. this is 2.5 starts to 3 starts hotel at best. This is an apartment building turned in a hotel with cramped rooms, no gym, no restaurant, no even an ac thermostat to regulate the temperature, outdated rooms, etc... I don't do a lot of reviews but I have to be fair, I really don't understand how this hotel can claim to have a 4 starts and 8.6-8.8 customers ratings from reviews as the ratings are closer to 2.5 stars and 6 starts out of 10 for customer reviews.
