Six Bedroom Lakefront Log Home with a Dock Slip on Deep Creek Lake.

Welcome to Deep Creek Lake, Maryland. Rock Haul overlooks Deep Creek Lake and accommodates up to 12 persons. It is family and pet friendly (with fee). It is located on a lovely wooded lot with a view of the lake from the large covered porch. The dock slip accommodates one boat at a community dock. It has 3 levels, with 2 bedrooms and a recreation room on the lower level, living, dining, and kitchen on main level, and 4 bedrooms above. There is a bath on each level. Outside is picnic and fire pit area with gas and charcoal grills. Rock Haul is available for rent year-round for you to enjoy the many activities available at beautiful Deep Creek Lake - boating, swimming, fishing, skiing (downhill and cross country), hiking, horseback riding, or just relaxing. These properties are near to Maryland's premier State parks - Deep Creek Lake, Swallow Falls, Harrington Manor, New Germany, and the beautiful and rugged Savage River State Forest. Wisp Ski Resort and the Outdoor Adventure Center with its manmade whitewater course is within 15 -20 min. Deep Creek has become the State's finest four-season resort area, as many people are discovering.

Cozy house right on the lake

A lovely location and a relaxing stay

This home easily accommodated our family group of 9 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs. The house was clean and comfortable. Big dining table and very functional kitchen.The front porch accommodated everyone and it was nice just to sit and watch the water. We brought kayaks and it’s a very short walk to the water.

Plenty of space for everyone to find a place to enjoy their individual vacation expectations. Gaming on the TV, swimming in the lake, trying catch some bass, hanging out on the deck and sharing each days stories at the evening dinner.

The steps were non- standard size, and were very steep and narrow. Minimal cleaning was done. The lights and lampshades were dirty. The carpet was torn and slippery. Most of the indoor furniture was unusable, especially the dining room. None of the outdoor furniture was usable since it was sewn together or was held together with zip ties. There was a particularly nasty note in the kitchen pertaining to spills on the carpet and charging you for it. Who puts carpet in a kitchen???? When the owner contacted me, he ended with "What did you expect?"

Great location

This is a great property. My only 2 concerns were that the property did not seem to be cleaned well, dust on surfaces and while I realize it's not completely controllable, the deck was coated in pollen.. The other concern is if my check in/out times were adjusted by an hr on both ends due to COVID cleaning, why wouldn't it have been cleaned better. Overall I loved the location and seclusion.

Great family trip!

We visited Deep Creek to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday with family who surprised him from AZ. We had age range from 8-66 and everyone had a great time! The property was just as we expected, very fairly priced and we were super comfortable during our stay. We rented a boat for a day and had a blast, and also took advantage of the park pass and checked out some falls. We'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Great stay in Deep Creek

We loved our New Years weekend in Deep Creek - even through the rainy weather. Rock Haul was big enough for everyone to have a bedroom but laid out so that we felt cozy hanging out at the fire pit, playing cards, sharing a meal. There are many nearby state parks and everyone had the same idea to take a walk outside. The parks were jammed thanks to warm weather. But even with the crowds in the park, the house is situated in the quiet of the woods and overlooks the calm lake. The peacefulness was well worth it. Hope to return!!

Lovely home on the water

Beautiful large home. Great porch with lake views. Comfortable beds, clean, lovely communal areas. Only drawbacks are one bath on each floor and lots of stairs. We loved it and hope to go back.

Great break!

My family ( grandparents, uncles, aunts, and kid cousins) had a blast! We spent most days at the dock and on our boat ( we brought a family boat) and we spent the evenings either playing games or by the campfire. We went to swallow falls one day as well. Great, simple getaway.

Great home for our family

This home was perfect for our short get way for our family. The house was clean, spacious and provided us with basic amenities that we forgot to bring. They had movies and games for us to use and the beautiful view of lake was gorgeous. If we ever come back to deep creek again, this will be the home we choose.

Thanksgiving at Rock Haul

Rock Haul was a great place. The house is wonderful and the location is superb. There are many dishes, serving pieces, and pots and pans. The dining room table was big so we could all fit there. Overall, we all had a happy Thanksgiving at Rock Haul.

Beautiful location

The home is older but is well maintained. There are 3 floors with bedrooms on top and bottom. The porch is fabulous. The kitchen and dining area was good for cooking and eating. Outdoor fire pit was a bonus.
