Rustic gem!
Jeff and Sarah were awesome hosts. They were quick to respond, friendly, and helpful. The location was perfect for us as it was convenient to our relative and all the amenities of Petit Jean. The house was large and easily accomodated our group of 10. The house was well stocked with all we needed. We would definitely stay there again. accaaccomaccommodate

Quaint and Comfortable Property
We had a friend-cation and our entire group LOVED the location, the hiking, fishing, swimming, etc. The property owner was responsive and friendly. Kitchen was well-stocked with basic cooking utensils, pots, and pans. A/C worked well. If cell service is top priority, you may need to travel as the location is remote and not all of us had cell service. Wi-fi is available and of moderate speed. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. It was such an enjoyable location and quaint home. We would absolutely book again.

Filthy; Lacks Quality Cleaning Measures; If it rains, master bedroom may flood
I mean no ill-will towards owners; hope they take constructive feedback supported with number of pictures sent & hope they take action to correct. FILTHY is best description. Pics we sent included dirt around toilets, built up dust on ceiling fan blades, all shelving, TV’s, furniture, visible piles of dirt on rugs, dust on the nonworking vacuum, filth underneath the toilet seat; dirty bath rugs; very dirty floors. Not regular or construction dust from recent wall repair but built-up dust & dirt from lack of proper cleaning. The owner agreed dust was bad and refunded cleaning fee. We fixed the vacuum by removing impacted clogs in 3 sections & vacuumed the house & emptied the collection bin 4 X! We used Lysol wipes to clean the floor best we could! No doubt the place is cleaner than before but still needs deep cleaning. Other notable issues: Master Bedroom flooded with significant water intrusion from rainstorm; WIFI & Garbage instructions outdated; no mattress protectors, outdated pictures (no nice front sidewalk) previously complained about smelly garbage bin still full & draws flies. Fence for dog yard is GONE and area overgrown! Lots of potential if they get reliable cleaners & maintenance & quality controls in place. Refund was a bit more than cleaning fee but overall disappointing since we cleaned better than their person & we flooded that night. At a minimum, a considerate refund should have been cleaning fee plus one night's rent for the many inconveniences.

Perfect Family Getaway
We enjoyed hours using the firepit. The kids loved the loft and all the bedding choices and the trampoline. The inside of the home was spotless. The 3 bathrooms were a plus with all the family. The yard was more rustic. We were disappointed that the propane was empty but upon contacting the owner found that the spare that was provided was missing to her dismay. The location was better than ideal. It was private but close to park amenities and hiking. We also took a day trip to Hot Springs.

Construction site basically
Workers there when checked in. Dust from wood cutting and grout from floors being redone nails sticking out of wall. Trash bins full .. property owner very vague about the remodel and a miscommunication on the refund and then trying to charge for their workers leaving the trash bins full with no place to put its tried to be reasonable with them and not be a complainer until they tried to get greedy and charge me 100$ for trash being left in the only place left to leave which was a metal can we had to find to put it in. Then going back and forth with them for them to be rude and say I am looking for a free stay when I have rented the place before th no problems because it wasn’t being remodeled and a construction site at that time they got greedy trying to rent it out and fix their problems off someone else’s dime.

Family Christmas
This was an excellent choice for our family members to celebrate our 2022 Christmas together. At first, our entrance code did not work. It only took a quick phone call to the property manager to get it resolved. Very nicely decorated for the season. It was very well stocked and clean. The fireplace added a very nice touch for our pictures. We would go again if the opportunity arises.

Great Location
As advertised, Rock House Cabin at Petit Jean is a good place for a family to enjoy the natural beauty of the mountain top. The home is cozy, historic and eclectic, reflecting a vibe appreciated throughout the past century, yet boasting modern convenience and comfort. Many great opportunities for outdoors, especially proximity to the Rockhouse Cave, west YACC overlook and CCC overlook, are close by. The stone fire-pit at the home is nice, as are the porches on either end. Shopping is limited nearby, so pack in what you'll need. The kitchen is more than adequate for prep, with the majority of small appliances ready to use. If you'll be doing a lot of cutting/chopping, bring your own chef knives and board. We did and were thankful for it. The inside dining area is great, with seating for 8 and boasts a nice highchair for the little one. All in all, we recommend Rock House Cabin as a place for families who value being together and love the Natural State. Shalom!

Great weekend at the Rock Cabin
We came for a short weekend getaway with 6 of our grandkids ages 2-17. We had the best time. The rock cabin is a neat little place nestled just outside Petit Jean State Park. We used their pool facilities, took some of the older grandkids on a hike that started just across the road from the cabin and we enjoyed the coffee shop and gift shops just down the road.. The kids loved the rock wall and the attic play area and I agree with others, it’s a great cabin to play hide and seek! Cabin had everything we needed and has the most comfortable beds with the best linens!

Rock house near a state park setting
If you are looking for a place big enough for 6 to 8 (and even a few more if you have little ones) and in between activities and pavilions at Petit Jean this is a great location. There are very few cabins and rooms at the state park, so if you are looking for a house, this is a good one. We had two with us, one with a cane, and an orthopedic boot. There are one or two steps in and out of the house, but is was manageable and the bathrooms were good sized. And check in and check out was seamless. I think it would be beautiful in the fall. Book this one early!
