We knew the property is older and might not be top of the line but some of the staff (not all) could use some lessons in hospitality. For the few guests that were there they could have been more helpful and friendly

My husband and I haven’t visited Sam’s Town in over 20 years. Decided to stop on our trip from Texas to Ohio. The staff was so rude it made the stay horrible. Went to get a players card and the girl behind the desk was talking to the couple in front of us like she had all the time in the world. When we got to the desk she wouldn’t even look up at us and refused to answer our questions. I then asked the security girl where the bill changer was and she replied with “really, you just walked right past it” and I didn’t even come from the direction she pointed. So rude, the place is dated and smelled and the staff is horrible. Will not stay again.

Poor tired casino

This poor old casino still has some life in it but it is not being shown the care and attention it needs. We had to return to reception three times from the sixth floor because of a faulty key reader. Reception finally yet cavalierly gave us a different room. Once in the new room, we discovered a faulty lamp. It was one of two lamps in the room, leaving the room pretty dark. The beverage station on the casino floor offered no coffee. I appreciate the bartender but felt badly that I asked for coffee three times. Although clean, everything just felt old and tired. So many things either struggled to work properly or didn't work at all. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Sam's Town could be a fun stay if better cared for.

We have stayed here before. This time, on a Tuesday night, there were hardly any people there. About 4 or five cars in the parking lot. We arrived late, about 10:30, and there were signs at the Checkin that it was closed and to go to security. But a woman behind the counter said she was working. She didn’t seem happy to be there. The room was clean and the ac worked great. It is very worn and dated though. The next morning, there were even fewer people there. More workers than customers. The casino was very stingy. I don’t know how they are keeping the doors open. Plus, it’s a stupid long way to drive to experience poor service and a lousy Casino experience. It was a very inexpensive room rate though.
