The owners were great and kind. The room, while small, was very affordable and had a large window for light. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the location was very walkable. I would definitely stay here again!

Good for the price, staff very welcoming and helpful, its a bit run down but was clean and comfortable. My only issue was when i arrived to my studio flat all of the dishes, cutlery, pan etc hadnt been washed properly by the previous guest, so i had to wash everything before I could use it. But apart from that i really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return in the future.

The property is a little rundown so doesn’t make the best first impression on arrival. It is a hostel. Our room could have used more lighting (just had one bulb in the center of a large room), especially over or near the sink. However, it was clean, provided good kitchen and dining area, had an excellent 5 euro breakfast and the owner was very attentive to our need for late check-in and most helpful with advice. It was also lovely meeting up with other travellers. For Iceland, this was great value for accommodation.

Great stat for a week here. Lovely staff and a quick 10-12 min walk to the shops. Is close by one of the main roads out of Helsinki for the usual tourist hotspots. The two brothers who manage the guest house were very helpful for all sorts of things. Would def recommend and stay again.

Decent place for a nights stay. Room was spacious for a solo traveler, like I was. The shower room wasn't the cleanest but also not disgusting. Some metal road fell off from the top of the shower (I think it's where you hang clothes/towel to dry) and smacked me right on top of the head. Decent stay for a night. If I couldn't find another place then I would stay here again.

I chose the guesthouse as a budget option. The welcome from the owner and staff was very friendly, the owner speaks fluent English and is extremely hospitable. It was great having such a well equipped kitchen and dining area, and it really made a difference to be able to have my breakfasts and occasional supper from my own groceries as well as being convenient when I got back late from an all-day bus tour. The common areas and toilets are kept clean. The guesthouse is an easy 10 minute walk with a suitcase from the main BSI bus terminal. To walk up to the big church Hallgrímskirkja is about 10 minutes, and the nearest supermarket that I found is just in front of the church on the shopping street. From there it is an easy 10 minute walk into the centre. Despite what it said on Expedia, there is no TV in the room. There is a TV in the dining room but I didn't use it. I was satisfied with my stay here - my only criticism would be that the towels and bedlinens are extremely tired, actually threadbare, and the pillow was also very lumpy and ancient so you might want to bring your own pillow.
