Upon checkin, the staff was very nice. Shabby place , but nice clerk. He gave us our key (1:00am) and to my surprise there was a man sleeping on the bed closest to the door and a man watching videos on his phone on the other bed. Although I barged in like the guest I was supposed to be, the man didn’t even budge or acknowledge me. I just apologized and went back to the clerk. He stated that he was going to call the police on those men as they weren’t supposed to be there. After getting assigned a new room, directly under those suspicious characters, this room was awful. It looked like the door had been kicked in multiple times, the shower rod looked as if someone was hang gliding on it, my bath water was rusty and the connecting door to the adjective room had a t shirt stuffed into the doorknobs hole, as a replacement! Needless to say, we didn’t leave our bags in the room unattended and we barricaded the door with that heavy table that has the marble-like top. Oh and I seen two men walking through the complex at night. One of them tried to offer me an android charger for 85 cent.
Returned from breakfast, leaned against door to my room while I reached in my shirt pocket for the key card, door opened. It took more than 5 min to get hot water for a shower. Every receptacle in the room was loose and my cell phone didn't charge....Really a shame, good location, needs elbow grease.....
I tried to call the desk to complain there was no hot water, but the phone didn't work. I walked there (in the rain) and had the clerk explain that one needed to run hot water for about 5 minutes before it got hot... I wouldn't be there at all except it is convienient and cheap.....
The property is in a disgusting state. the lights are broken, carpet is dirty, room is smelly and there are no toiletries. We were told that breakfast will be provided in brown bags. Though it was said that there would be a breakfast buffet. This is a very bad place and more over misrepresented on your website as a facility with multiple amenities.
There is no sit-in breakfast at this place as advertised. They just give you a bag with some snack bar. One of the towels had blood stain. Low quality. Beware.

The hotel room I stayed on 8/20/2022 was spacious and renovated with granite tops of tables and sinks. The on-the-go breakfast was OK but not best. The receptionist behaviour was unexpected though. The price was very cheap.

Price was good but it was more like, you get what you pay for. Cons; Tube was clogged. Paint was chipping. Sheets were stained; light fixtures not working; Overall room needs some upgrades and deep cleaning. Pros; Pice/affordable; Large TV and internet service was nice. Centrally located restaurants and shops nearby. Staff were friendly and responsive. Would not stay here again.
It was so hot. Rooms were not ventilated. Was stuffy. AC was off when walked in it was 100 degrees inside. Bedding uncomfortable.
The breezeway where you receive your keys smells of smoke! The outside of property was very weathered and dated. The temperature dropped on our 2nd night and we turned the heat on in the room to knock the chill off. The smell was soo bad and apparently smoke coming from the unit because the smoke alarm went off in the room. We had to open the door letting more cold in! We froze all night. The person at the desk said that happens at every hotel everywhere. I have experienced a slight smell from these type of units before but not to this extent and have never had the fire alarm go off!
My stay at the hotel near Duke University was pleasant. The room was so warm without having the heater on. The room was clean spacious and it provided the necessities needed for a comfortable nights sleep. The staff were very courteous. Only complaint that I have is the breakfast was not up to par. The omelette was dull n not tasty. There were no grits. I realize that the menu items are probably commercial items provided to Days Inns Nationwide. Well to the CEOs of Days Inn you need to improve on the food thats provided to your customers even if it means you have to allocate more funds towards your free breakfast.

It was close to Duke medicine clinic. Comfortable bed and pillows. Bathrom smelled like midew. Free hot breakfast sucked.

We are so sorry. We corrected the problem, Police came and arrested them. I am so sorry you had to deal with this. Again we are very sorry for this.
