Great location, beautiful hotel that needs repairs

Enjoyed the hotel and location, but the hotel needs cosmetic repairs in the common areas and in the rooms. The rooms were quiet and comfortable.

The only comment is that I could hear the people in the next room through the connecting door. While sleeping at night, I could clearly hear the conversation at a low volume. Otherwise, great place to stay.

This is the PERFECT location to visit historic PA. You are right across the street from Independence Hall, and a block away from the Liberty Bell. You are also a 15 minute walk to The Reading Terminal, which is a must for Philly dining. The evening happy hour is a nice perk and the coffee bar in the am was a nice touch. The fitness room is high quality and had several machine and weights.

The best location hands down. Walking distance to all the main sights. However, the rooms and decor are horrendous, makes it feel dingy, if you don’t care great but it made us feel a bit uncomfortable. We’ve stayed at other Kimptons and we were very surprised by this one. If Kimpton updated this site, this hotel would be unbeatable!

Excellent location. All the history is right on your doorstep! We had a beautiful room overlooking the park and the beds were so comfortable. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.
