Checking in around 7 took some time. The valet was not clear on who he was so I had to go inside and ask what to do. Then there was one person working the desk so I had to wait longer to check in as well. It took about 15/20 minutes which feels a little long when no one else was checking in at the time. Otherwise the hotel was fine, very central location and the rooms were good.

This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring the city as a tourist. The majority of attractions are within walking distance, and the nearby Reading Market was perfect for a variety of meals. The rooms were were a good size and well set up. The area around the hotel does have a lot of homeless people, but that seems to be a common problem in this city, and none of them caused us any issues. My only negative comment about this property is several unhelpful and unfriendly dealings with front desk clerk D, but everything else about our stay at Aloft was great.

Room not cleaned by 4:00 pm. We asked for this to be done as quickly as possible and to allow time for it went for a walk even though we had been our all day. An hou later we came back, room had been visited but the only thing done was to turn up the bed sheet. Used paper cups left where they were, bins not emptied, towels not replaced…When I spoke to the manager at the desk he asked me what I wanted him to do. I gave up, glad that I was leaving the next day. I don’t blame the staff, I think they are most likely over-worked, they have my sympathy but I wouldn’t go back there anytime soon.

The hotel was fine and quite clean. The area arpund the hotel was a bit dirty and some homeless people around. Philly is a large city so not unusual. We didn't feel unsafe at all.

The room was very small, but clean and nice. The walls are very thin, there was a couple in the next room having a screaming fight at 2:30am that kept us awake for hours.

The gym was nice, it was quiet. Didn't had to share equipment with other guest because hardly anyone went down there. I love it. Valet assistance was very friendly and helpful. The hotel lobby was quite big. The room weren't very big but it was cozy, I enjoyed my stay.
