Attending the Olympic Games in Paris
The location, the highlight of this hotel. I booked with anticipation as the Olympics approached, so, my fare at the moment was actually double that the actual fare now. During the Games, a majority of hotels were not fully booked, probably due by the hefty fare increase. Considering the standards for accommodation in Paris, our small room was acceptable. The breakfast was offered for a fee. we tried once but was poor variety for the price. Find out that just two blocks ahead, a Pret a Mangler offered excellent options for breakfast at half the price. In general, due that Metro Line 1 station Louvre Rivoli is just a 4 block walking and the heavy connected Chatelet Les Halles even closer, the hotel will be our first choice when we return to Paris in the near future. A lot of good ambience, stores and good restaurants along the Rue Saint Honoré, makes this hotel very attractive.

If you’re looking for a nice room at the end of the day I would look elsewhere, but if you’re looking for a central home base that makes travel convenient, then this is your place. Inside view wasn’t the best. Rooms are tiny, TV is old. The bathroom was basically a corridor and awful to navigate. The shower was a cube. You can’t turn without hitting something. Otherwise, very close to Les Halles station and important sites, so you’re picking this hotel for location over anything. I’d go back, but only for convenience. Wouldn’t bring a partner to stay here, but good for travelers who don’t plan to spend any time in the room.

I reserved a room a few months in advance for 242 Euros on Expedia. It was one of worst rooms I have ever stayed in. The day we checked the same rooms were going for $85. I was basically robbed since I paid three times more and got a tiny room with a window looking at the wall. We waited for more than 20 mins before the receptionist even acknowledged our presence. He was on the phone and refused even to glance at us. The hotel is deplorable. Ugly, inconvenient. We had to carry our bags to our room down a flight of stairs, after the elevator stopped on the 3rd floor. Expedia robbed us and I am never booking any hotel or flights through their organization. We should be refunded. There were so many wonderful hotels for much lower price than Hotel Saint Honoré on Rue 85. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

Great location in the city, the room was very small though. You could touch your foot to the toilet from the bed. The staff was very nice and was there 24 hours, which was nice. The hotel amenities are very bare minimum. It’s definitely a hotel to stay at for a couple of days but not a long time.
