Connie's cottage (9753 Shore Dr.) is waterfront cottage with its own direct beach access and incredible water views of the Delaware bay. Enjoy the sounds of the beach and watch the sunsets from the large deck that fronts the beach. Prime Hook Beach is a quiet private beach community.

Open concept floorplan - Living, dining and kitchen w/ window views overlooking the bay. Well-equipped kitchen with SS appliances which include: dishwasher, 5- burner glass top stove, side by side full size refrigerator w/icemaker in door, blenders, coffee maker w/carafe & K cup ability. Granite countertops & large island w/seating for (3).

Living room w/lg. smart TV, deep comfortable sofa, enjoy the swivel chairs as you watch TV or views of the water. Dining table w/seating for (4). Board & card games are available, along with a sound bar for your entertainment on those rainy days & relaxing movie night.

Bedroom #1 - Queen bed w/ on-suite bathroom & smart TV. Bedroom #2 - (2) twin beds w/ smart TV & access to hallway bath. New 2025; Purely Coastal Cleanse shampoo, conditioner, body wash & lotion provided for your convenience in each bathroom.


New 2025, lower-level secured door access with furnished den. Grab a book to read, watch TV or play games.

Quiet Beach but...
Adorable cottage professionally redone. Steps from the beach and a deck overlooking the bay. I spent much time there due to poor indoor air quality all week (high VOCs & carbon dioxide) according to the smart thermostat and mine and a neighbor’s nose. I wanted to love this place and return but I can’t recommend. The host was responsive. When I arrived, I noticed a strong odor of gasoline or solvents coming from the basement south side, like gasoline had been spilled. The Ecobee+ detected high VOCs & carbon dioxide. I messaged the host and was told to open the windows, and someone would be out next day. Those folks couldn’t smell anything but removed the Quad (ATV) parked in the basement and said the tank was drained. Neither they nor the host could explain the thermostat’s poor readings. I asked the host if it was safe to be indoors with the current reading and she told me it was and her folks didn’t smell anything. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist and her dismissing it was not reassuring. I had a headache for 2 days. Thankfully the weather allowed windows to be open. When there was decent wind off the bay, I had good air quality but when the wind died down it went poor again. If you have problems with your lungs or are sensitive to VOCs, this is not the place for you. I noticed that a guest earlier this year posted a similar review. Please fix the problem and don’t compromise your guests health at their expense. If you ever remediate this, I’d love to return.

Perfection - Rest and Recharge!
My husband and I stayed for the weekend at this lovely cottage. We stay at many VRBO properties and this is definitely one of our favorites now. The house was clean, updated and located perfectly in a quiet neighborhood. It was spacious and cozy at the same time. We were able to prepare all of our meals in the fully stocked kitchen. It was truly a relaxing weekend of looking at the ocean and listening to the waves at this beach front home. We can't wait to return!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home had everything we needed and was well appointed and comfortable. Direct access to the beach and the nearby wildlife refuge made the visit really special. Peaceful and quiet. Overall a real winner.

Just Wonderful!!!
My husband and I and our little bunny had the best time for the week we stayed here. We loved it so much we already booked the same week for next year. The house is perfect in so many ways and all the little touches make it feel so welcoming. Robin is a wonderful host and very attentive and the house being beachfront and pet friendly is the icing on this wonderful cake.

An absolute GEM!
I could not have been more pleased with our stay here. Our host Robin was helpful and quick to reply to any of my questions. Check in/out was quick and simple. The property itself was so clean, bright, and more spacious than we thought it would be. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need, as well as beach chairs, umbrellas, nice bath towels and linens! The beach was spectacular, clean, private, and the proximity cannot be beat. Being able to walk out the door and onto the beach is absolutely priceless. I was sad to leave and would 100% love to come back. Thank you Robin!

Awesome Place!
This was our second time back to this beautiful little slice of heaven. A quiet place to come and go to the beach as you please. The place was clean and decorated so cute! We loved the added plus of the added linens and towels this year! Saved on packing! The husband and kids didn’t love the mosquito’a but that’s not the properties issue, that’s just the location in general from what I hear. Highly recommend and planning on returning again!

Lovely home for a family of four
We loved our week at Prime Hook. The house was great - a cozy bungalow right on the beach. Perfect for a family of four. It was updated, adorably decorated, and stocked with all the essential kitchen supplies and beach necessities (floats, chairs, umbrellas). Low tide was great for our little kiddos. And the beach itself is very quiet. We had the whole thing to ourselves almost every day. We would recommend this house to anyone with little ones who aren't quite ready for the hustle and bustle of a busy beach and big waves.

As soon as I stepped into the cottage, I said to my family, “We are booking this place again!” It was exactly what we wished for! The view of the ocean is perfection! The walk takes all of ten seconds. The home is cozy, clean, and welcoming. We have already booked our vacation here for next summer! The communication with the host exceeded expectations. The house is very clean, well maintained and has a very peaceful feel. The dune crossing onto the beach is a little steep but the privacy and proximity to the water can’t be beat. Definitely worth the trip!

Second Time Still Prime
Return renters to this property and it is still perfect for our family. Our 5 and 2 1/2 year old had a blast in the bay. The house is perfect with its short walk to the beach and amazing sunrise views over the water. The removal of the bunks and addition of two twin beds in the 2nd bedroom was a nice touch. Having a full size washer/dryer is also awesome being at the beach with 2 kids. Love this place and will hopefully be back soon!

Perfect private beach spot!
Steps from the beach, which we had to ourselves all week! Could listen to the waves from the porch and felt like you were the only one around - so peaceful! Was a short drive from many fun breweries, small towns, and great spots to eat. The place itself was immaculate and had everything you could possibly need! Adorable cottage
This adorable and nicely decorated cottage has just about everything you need. Plenty of dishes, silverware and pots and pans. We spent a lot of time on the large deck with a great view of the bay. Robin was very easy to communicate with and replied promptly to our questions. It’s nice that beach chairs and umbrellas are available. We forgot to bring insect repellent and had to leave the beach early one day because of biting insects. Other than that we had a great time!

Perfect cottage hideaway by the shore
We have stayed at many home rentals & this is top of our list. It has been beautifully renovated with many modern amenities including updated appliances, light switches, hvac thermostat, & a newer deck & railing. It offered sheets, towels, extra blankets, pillows, & comforters, & laundry supplies - these are definitely all pluses & not usually included when renting. All of this perfectly tucked away in a remote quaint area with beautiful views of the water. We had a slight issue on our part when checking in & Robin was super responsive to remedy it for us. We will definitely be back again!

We spent almost 2000 to stay and so many things were not provided Paper towels garbage bags Kleenex Just couple rolls of toilet paper hair dryer No starter kit (shampoo soap ect.. Garbage cans were full and we couldn’t get ours in there The fumes from fuel in basement was coming through vents which could of been dangerous The owner was notified but no thanks for letting her know ect…. I am just tired of paying lots of money for these places and people have gotten cheap and they are making good money Started staying hotels more

The house is modern, clean, has new appliances, a great water heater, good water pressure, and all of the cooking utensils one would need to cook. The area is beautiful- I love nature reserves, wildlife refuges, and wetlands, so Prime Hook Beach checks all of these boxes for me. The house is located right on the beach and the views and sunlight are spectacular. Our host was communicative, and left us a lovely gift which we received upon arrival. For future guests- folks should probably realize that while the kitchen does have all of the cooking utensils and appliances one would need, you will need to supply everything else. Though our host clearly named what was contained within the house, I made assumptions based on all of the other houses I have rented. I was surprised that we needed to purchase trash bags, cooking oil, spices, food storage containers for leftovers, dishwasher tabs etc. In no way is my comment critical of my host! The listing does not state in any way that the house includes basic cooking supplies. Just make sure to bring what you need or you will need to buy supplies. All in all, I would absolutely come back!!!!!

Peaceful and Perfect
My husband and I stayed over NY’s 2024 weekend. It was perfect, charming and super clean. The view of the bay was perfect and we couldn’t had been more relaxed. We brought our fur baby Chase and he LOVED it. Walk down the deserted beach was awesome on new year’s day….we love the off season and this charming little cottage was perfect. Communication was excellent and we will be back. Thank you!
