The beach was beautiful and not too crowded during our stay. The hotel is also right on the beach so you can take the elevator right down to it and just have to walk a little ways. The staff was also great, very friendly and helpful.
The cons:
At the moment, there is construction right next door. We chose the bay view and were placed facing the construction. It was possible to see the ocean from our room but from 7am- 5pm (somewhere around that time), the construction workers were active. This created a lot of noise and though the balcony doors are very well insulated and sound proof, it just wasn’t enough to keep the noise out. The hotel did warn us after booking though, I did not dock them too much for this fact but it is important to know. If you decide to sleep in past 7, good luck. The beach was not affected by the construction much though, luckily the sound of the waves overpower the construction sounds.
The biggest issue I had was that the hotel is located in a very heavy traffic area. I assume this is why we are forced to do valet during our stay which is another $30/day. This is NOT optional and is a bit annoying to me. Especially since you pay for the hotel itself, plus added resort fees about $39/night PLUS $30/night for the mandatory valet, and lastly, $100 deposit per night. I would have been much happier with the hotel being upfront about the price all in one lump sum per night because I feel like this is extortion. Please be more upfront about these fees!
