Very nice stay. Power went out but not property’s fault. Very friendly staff and great restaurant/bar. Bartender even gave me a lift across town after I checked out.

The hotel was old - but I knew that booking. It was great for the one night I needed. The staff in the restaurant wasn’t very motivated. I had to find my own silverware. Housekeeping and front staff was nice.

I don’t know why this property has such a high rating. My room was incredibly damp - both in terms of smell and feel. The WiFi was almost non existent and constantly dropping out (which is kind of key for a property with no mobile reception). And while I’m sure the staff are pleasant (not actively rude) I found them to be entirely unresponsive to a couple of simple requests. Nice location. I got very excited when I first arrived. And I did see some deer in the forest outside my window. But overall I’m afraid my stay here was disappointing. It’s a solid two star 6/10 hotel. Nothing wrong with that. But its Expedia rating is waaayyyyy off.
