This is an average hotel that's worth staying in for the experience of being able to spend the night on Mont-Saint-Michel. The view from our room was lovely, the staff was friendly, and the accommodations were clean. The included breakfast was nice, too. But the double bed was quite uncomfortable (saggy in the middle), the decor was drab, and the bathroom dated. We didn't sleep well, but we still enjoyed the experience of spending the night on the Mont.

Magical location with an amazing view and a good day to spend day of vacation. Make sure you tour the Abbey with a tour guide. It’s best.

I was surprised the bathroom was decent sized. I expected a postage size bathroom. There was even a shower.

It was such a special experience to stay on Mt Saint Michel for a night and extra special to stay at La Mere Poulard. The rooms were adequate for 1 night, clean and had fabulous views. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of options and all the staff were delightful. As we stayed in winter, after New Year, it was much quieter than at other times and this made for a superb experience. Unfortunately, the shower in one of our rooms did not have a shower screen so could not be used which would have been a problem if we only had 1 room. Otherwise it was delightful.

Sleeping Intramuros in Mont St-Michel is a unique experience and I highly recommend it to all. It would appear all hotels on the rock are in a similar state of gloom. Rooms are old, not super well maintained. Our room had a refreshed bathroom but we could not stand up in it for a shower. Water was not very hot. Mattresses were extremely soft to the point of backache. But the views are breathtaking.

Being able to stay on Le Mont St Michel was nothing short of a dream. Staying at this gorgeous historic hotel and waking up to a view of the bay was magical. I will return to the same hotel and the same room again.

We had a room with view, it was enough room for 2 in tween beds, breakfast included and was good! The hotel is older but nice. We really enjoyed it! Very quiet, few stairs for the Main Street and restaurants

Perfect spot for exploring Le mont Saint Michel. Hotel is not very fancy but okay. If the maintenance would be a little better there’d be no comment but it’s from loose doorhandles to mold on the bathroom walls to overdue paintwork. The staff of hotel and restaurant are very pleasant and hospitable. I would come back even with the maintenance issues.

We stayed here two nights so we would have a whole day to see the castle and abbey. That was a good idea. It was great staying here. We had a view of the shore and sea. The restaurant had delicious food. If you come to Le Mont Saint-Michel, be sure to call ahead and get precise directions to the parking lots for the shuttle bus to the island. We did not have that info and we felt lucky to find people to give us the parking lot code and to tell us how to take our luggage to the shuttle. And beware, you will carry your luggage up flights of stairs to get to your room. This island is not a place to be if you have trouble walking. After we got on the island we had a great time. Don't miss the little shops with galletes (French burritos) and ice-cream cones. And hold on to your hats when get near the weather side of the island!! I will stay here again when I have the chance.

Spacious room

We loved this cute hotel. Our room had windows with a nice view. This was a suite and had a separate small area with extra bed for our young adult son. Very convenient! Lots of stairs but it is Mont Saint Michel after all!

Do yourself a favor and do kot book this extremely overpriced hotel. Four flights up after taking a shuttle and walking down a causeway, no one to help with luggage, lobby looks like a used car sales office, room smelt like urine, stains all over the carpets, dirty linen bags all over in the hallways and staircases, no lights to see in pitch black dark, only restaurants closed first night at 830, and second night at 6pm, no were else to get food, no bottles of water in room, no drink offering at all. I would understand if this hotel was NOT $300 a night, but it was, as well when trying to cancel second night the hotel clerk told me i would have to reach Expedia, but then when Expedia tried to call them he would not answer their call, even when i was right infront of him. Absolutely no regard for what a dilapidated and dirty hotel it was. One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Do your self a favor and dont stay on Mont Saint Michelle, only visit for the day and stay elsewhere. Very saddened by what a tourist trap amusement park it has become instead of a Holy sight, they even make you pay to go to mass. Disgusting.

Was so happy to have stayed over night in Mont St Michel. It was amazing to experience this place once the crowds of the day had left. This hotel was so convenient and the front desk was very pleasant and friendly even though they were looking after multiple properties. The hotel was comfortable and no more or less than we needed for a nice quiet night in this amazing place.

The room was clean and cozy . We slept well and had the view of the abbey which is quite cool . The dinner at La mère Poulard was awesome . Lovely service and the omelette is a must . Only at le mont st Michel you have an omelette like this , despite $$$ it is worth the experience. The checking was great and we have been very well served and welcome by the amazing young lady and young gentleman . The breakfast was very good unfortunately I found the waiter completely disorganised . I seriously think someone in this establishment needs to have a word with him . I felt sorry for him to be that stroppy and disorganised early morning .everything was 5* except breakfast service which was a 2 ** which is a pity .
