The hotel looked fine from the outside. Once inside it had an odor. There were stains on the carpets throughout the hotel including the rooms. It looked like the carpets had never been cleaned. Paint was chipping from the walls and were on the floors, one of the elevators broke while I was trying to use it and the other sounded like it was going to break at any minute. The tub in the shower was stained, the shower curtain rod was broke so the curtain would not stay closed causing a puddle on the floor. The breakfast was lacking, juice machine not working, basically only had carbs. The ice machine didn't work and appeared it has not worked in a long while. The man that appeared as the maintenance man was seen drinking a beer in the parking lot. When we returned to the hotel after a long day, there was a group of men hanging out at their car drinking, they didnt seem to be bothering anyone but just not a good vibe for a hotel. Really the lack of cleanliness if what bothered me and the other families we traveled with the most. Our group had a total of 6-7 rooms. We were there for a high school girls weightlifting competition. All of group complained about how dirty the rooms were, and it was not just the high schoolers, it was adults too. I usually enjoy my stays at Laquinta Inn but this is one that I will not return to and will make me think twice before I book another.
