Hong Kong Solo Trip November 2024
I have known this hotel and stayed here a few times before during some of my trips to Hong Kong between 2006 and 2016. Since my first stay here, I’ve grown to love this hotel over the course my teenage development years whenever I came to Hong Kong. The King Room I had felt very homely and the bedding was comfortable. Waking up to the views of Victoria Harbor and Hong Kong Island every morning was indeed a real treat, as was having breakfast and canapés in the Horizon Club Lounge while enjoying the view. I especially enjoyed my dinner at Shang Palace during one of my nights here. It was also a privilege to check in at the Horizon Club Lounge as I had booked a Horizon Club Harbor View King Room, with the Horizon Club staff being extremely hospitable to my tastes and preferences. East Tsim Sha Tsui and Tsim Sha Tsui MTR stations were also right next door, which was a great advantage for me for my MTR travels in Hong Kong. Though I had not gone to Hong Kong for over eight years due to my overseas studies Down Under in Australia and the political tensions and riots between 2019 and 2020, the hotel maintained most of its charms exactly the way I remember them. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my stay at this hotel, and I can safely say that I made the right choice to stay here. Thank you for such a wonderful stay, Kowloon Shangri-La! You really are my most favorite hotel in Hong Kong! I will definitely come back again on future trips to Hong Kong whenever possible!
