Good room, bad experience

The room was beautiful. We loved the hot tub in the room and the fireplace. We were not informed that the entire floor was under construction. There were loud banging noises, fragments on the carpet, and workers all over the hallway. We were awoken by a worker at 6 am who was working on the construction. They tried to get into our room and disturbed our stay. Besides this, the stay was beautiful and well worth it.

Checked in but did not stay. Not clean. Bed comforter, pillows, and couch smelled musty. Air conditioner very noisy. Property manager did well and found us another location for the same money. Thanks to him

Galena Longhollow studio

The studio apartment was nice, but the lighting is poor. The air conditioner needs to be replaced. It is too noisy and made sleep difficult. The screen door doesn’t latch on the deck. We had to keep the main sliding door open, since the air conditioner was too noisy, so that we could get a breath of fresh air, and as a result our apartment was not secure at night. This is something that has come up in reviews before. More hand towels and washcloths are needed in the bathroom. We like hard mattresses and this seemed to be a pillow top, so it took a toll on our backs. My allergies flared up in this apartment. Is it mildew; were pets allowed in? Could just be that I am sensitive to such things. My husband was fine. The complex is very nice. We enjoyed the game room. The pool and hot tub are nice. This apartment is an affordable and adequate stay in Galena.

Nice room, but…

We have stayed here a few times, always in the same room. We love the amenities and location. The only issue is the wall air conditioner. It drips constantly, 24/7. We have to put a towel on it to silence it. We have mentioned this to the front desk when they ask how everything is. We will return but hopefully in a different room.

Our experience

Bed could definitely be a king, just needs to be bigger. Was under the impression with a balcony that it was on an upper floor of hotel, not ground level. I wouldn’t have booked it knowing it was ground level. We have stayed here several times before in the larger suites and we like the views. So to me, balcony = up higher to soak up more of a view. So I dislike that in the description. Needed some updates but overall the room was fine. The air conditioner was loud, would wake us up in the night kicking on/off. Still a nice getaway, just not exactly what we thought we were getting in some things.

Lovely rental

We enjoyed the hotel amenities and the personal whirlpool in the room. The bed could be more comfortable, but otherwise we LOVED every little detail in the room. They even had plates, utensils, etc which was nice for our leftovers! We would definitely stay again.

Weekend Getaway

This was a pleasant surprise on how quaint the room was and the location was very nice. Just enough distance from Galena and nicely located to sightsee around the area. We felt very comfortable and very relaxed for our time there. Thank you

Very nice. Secluded and private. Big bathroom with jacuzzi jetted tub. Two way fireplace with views from bedroom and bathroom. Small walk out patio with view of wooded area, great for morning coffee.
