We really enjoyed our time at Hideaways. This was our first trip to Exumas, and it was a short one, but from what we could tell, this resort was an excellent value for the area. The location was very good for a short stay-- close to airport, walkable to a gorgeous beach (and the beach directly outside the resort was nice too), easy walk or shuttle into George Town. Our room was clean and comfortable, and from what we could tell, the Splash Bar on the resort was one of the better food options in the immediate area, along with the fish fry shacks a few minutes walk down the road.

We booked this hotel on Expedia and when we arrived they didn’t actually have the room we had booked. The staff was great though and upgraded us to an Oceanfront cottage. We very much appreciated their accommodating us. The cottage itself was good. It had a weird smell. I suspect it was a cleaning product that smelled like fake flowers and was really overwhelming. We immediately had to open all of the windows. It’s possible that the room was cleaned last minute for us so I shouldn’t complain. I will complain about the bathroom shower not being clean and the dark hairs all over the bathroom floor that we’re definitely not ours! Overall, this accommodation is very tired and need some maintenance. The atmosphere is pleasant though. If you get a good price then you will be OK with the little things that keep it from being truly fabulous.

Great location nice raffish facilities across the street Informal restaurant with friendly staff and view if beach, pool, beach which can be narrow at high tide with a stunning view. Rooms modern and very clean. Short taxi or long walk into town. 20 minutes from the airport

Good location, friendly staff, lots of on-sight amenities. They offer kayaks, paddle boats, chairs, and stand-up paddle-boards to use. The front desk staff was very friendly and accommodating. If I had to make suggestions I would recommend putting a table/chairs on the patio so guests can enjoy the ocean views and adding hairdryers to the room. As the suites are located across the street from the Hideaway and likely up a few flight of stairs I would not recommend for those with mobility issues. Overall a great stay, good location, well-appointed rooms, and friendly staff.

Lots of stairs to gain access; terrible water pressure so never felt completely clean. Property mgmt did not communicate about activities, restaurants. etc. Attitude of wait staff made one feel unwelcomed.

The entire staff at Hideaways/Island Times were fabulous! Very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Having the free shuttle into Georgetown was a great perk.This is definitely a place we would recommend and will go back to!

They upgraded my room free of charge. They placed us in Hideaways Villa that had its own balcony and access to the beach. They were renovating the pool so we just went on the beach. In our room however, there was a connectivity issue with the route so I had problems getting internet every day.

Booked last minute as we are very spontaneous travelers, we lucked out! Location was perfect, as we were within walking distance to the Fish Fry and moments from Georgetown city limits, giving access to grocery store, boat rental, etc. Hotel staff arranged for our “swimming with pigs” tour and were very kind and informative. The hotel does have a shuttle you can take to go to town running until 5:40 pm. Was impressed with the room, very clean and cold AC in the bedroom, perfect for my family of 3. Had we been at the top of the island (where it seemed those pricey resorts are, luckily we are not resort people) our trip would have been much different.

This accomodation is one of the most beautiful + peaceful we have ever stayed + we definitely would stay here again.Everything is perfect.Friendly stuff,great restaurant,phantastic pool directly at the beach,clean + nicely furnished apartement with everything you need.We stayed on the second floor in these beautiful houses on the hill across the street with a nice ocean view.It is the right place to relax.There are different beautiful white sandy beaches directly at the pool area and 5 minutes walk around the corner.George town is only a 5 minute drive by car + there you have everything you need. Restaurants,supermarket,ATM,strawmarket etcThere is a water taxi which takes you to Stocking Island which is a 10 minutes drive.It is so worth it.Sandy white beach with stingrays swimming around your feet in the calm water.You can ped + feed them with the conch residues with were leftover of the fresh conchs which the man from the stuff gets directly out of the ocean for preparing a conch salad just in front of your eyes.There is a restaurant + a gift shop too + only a few people who enjoying this beautiful island. From the hotel you need max.an hour to get to the boat ramp where the swimming pigs adventure tours are starting.A shuttle service picks you up + brings you back.The only thing we can hold against is that the wifi is only working at the lobby.If you need it in your room you can rent a portable one for approx12 dollars per day.Paddle boards and canoes are available for free
