We took our 4 children with us (ages 6-20 years old). Everyone was happy with the activities and entertainment planned. Kids say 10/10 when we left for home. The hotel itself is very nice. The friendliness of the staff was above and beyond which really helped us give it a 10/10. We really enjoyed the cappuccino bar for our coffee and desserts. Pepe’s grill makes a great chicken poolside with the best corn on the cob. To be honest we enjoyed the buffet food and ocean views it provided even more than our dinner reservation restaurants. The water slide park was a nice bonus for the younger kids while the older ones had a blast in the foam pool party. Thanks for a great stay and memories!

Beautiful property. The entertainment staff wad amazing all day. Special shoutout to Lloyd of the entertainment staff just a great guy. Customer service was excellent another shoutout to Jeffery who helped me with my bags and was very helpful. No complaints.

The hotel was very clean, staff very friendly. The meal selections at buffet were good however being in Jamaica it would've been nice to see more jamaican food. Although stew peas one night was a very nice surprise.

POSITIVES- My family and I had an amazing stay at the Riu Aquarelle. The resort if fairly new so everything was clean and still in pristine condition. The staff were all very nice and welcoming and willing to help or cater to your needs. The food and drinks were all good and didn't disappoint AT ALL. From the buffet to the jerk hut, it was phenomenal. We dined at the Steakhouse and Asian restaurants and the portions were small and the food was just ok. NEGATIVES- they were small roaches that came into room at night. I understand the Caribbean has little pests sometimes, but it was annoying killing them especially with a toddler running around. The WiFi was ridiculously slow at ALL times. We called concierge about it, and they said they would inform the IT department, but nothing came out of that. Lastly, my mother-in-law fell ill at the airport and was not able to make the trip. We had a separate room paid for her. I have been trying to work with Expedia over the past week to get some type of refund or credit and they have been giving us the run around stating "the approver is not around." I understand there is a cancellation policy in place, but extra considerations should be made in circumstances like this. This experience alone negatively affected our vacay and I would not recommend or return to Riu Aquarelle.

The bar and dining room staffs was super excellent special thanks.to Chad and Dwayne dinning room supervisor and all the dinning and bar staff who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was superb. What we did like was the inconvenience with the water system there was no water for most.When part we had to call the front desk in order for water to be restored .and frontdesk staff was not friendly to our concern at one point a front desk staff told me i have to understand why there's no water in the stateroom i called again on the first of November because i came in from dinner wanted to take my shower and the staff member answered without stating her name then Hong up the phone on me .

Newer property but needs some improvements. Management needs to work on making the restaurant reservation process more seamless. Someone in my party also had issues with room service not coming to clean their room even with signage. The buffet food was okay but could’ve had a more expansive Caribbean selection. Overall my experience was okay.
