The young lady at the front desk who greeted us as we arrived to check in was professional, courteous, efficient & friendly. She was able to check us in early so we could relax for a few hours before out event that evening. She was helpful in providing information about the area around the hotel, the large number of eating establishments of all kinds and the attractions in the area. She also arranged for our breakfast the next morning in the dining area of the lobby. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and would have liked to stay longer. I highly recommend Clarion Hotel the Colony for travelers.

breakfast buffet was a waste of money. I was there at 8AM and the eggs,sausage, gravy were all cold. Biscuits hard as pucks! Definately not worth the price.

I will never stay at a Clarion hotel again. There are some reasons why I dislike the chain and some reasons for this specific hotel. First, they charge you a $50 incidental fee at check-in. They take the money out of your account before you even get to your room. Most places have a card on file and charge as needed. Then they $6.99 ($12.99 if you don’t request it at check in) for a buffet breakfast that has less options than most free hotel breakfasts. Plus, it was not well stocked or well attended. We had a very nice young lady that checked us in. However, it took 3 tries for us to get into an acceptable room. In the first room we were unable to adjust the room’s temperature, the phone to call front desk to inquire about the thermostat didn’t even have a phone cable plugged into it and the bathroom wasn’t properly stocked with soap to wash our hands with. She quickly gave us a second room but upon just opening the door we could see that both beds were completely unmade, untouched from the last guests. Our third room was clean and acceptable but the back and forth on an injured knee was not pleasant. This was obviously poorly managed housekeeping. There are too many clean, affordable hotels out there that offer free, delicious breakfast and don’t charge for incidentals before you even get to your room, for me to ever stay at a Clarion hotel again.

Close to restaurants and amenities nice lobby, unfortunately the bar to sit down and relax was closed but I was offered a drink if my husband and I wanted to get one. The king size bed is very firm woke up in pain. One little bottle of shampoo for 2 people.

Only one working elevator and a strong smell of cheap weed in it. Staff were kind, but I was suprised that the hotel pre-charges a $50 “safety deposit”.

Conveniently located and well kept. Wish the buffet breakfast was complimentary or the kitchen was open to more offerings. Property is under a new name so there are a few maintenance items that need attention. Overall, staff is friendly and rooms are well sized and comfortable.
