Quaint and peaceful. Loved the fire pit and grilling area to sit out and relax. Only problem I saw was building number(3) needs to be on the building along with the room numbers by the front entrance door. We loved our suite and the relax time we had!

Ask to have room service clean and towels. Had to call three time and still did not . Took my own trash out . And went and got my own towels.

Loved the room! Only complaint was there was no internet connection for our room. We were last room on the property and internet did not reach us. Had to use our hotspot.

Calm & Relaxing

I had an amazingly peaceful stay. A nice plush, soft supportive mattress and soft linens, nice towels, and the most enjoyable toiletries perfect for me as smaller/asthma person. If you enjoy a low key, laid back vibe where you slow down the pace of life, this picturesque place is for you! So many places to relax, visit, or hang out by the pool. A great place to walk, hear the song birds, and enjoy being outside.
Stroll along the river. Enjoy wild turkey and deer watching in the evenings.

This hotel was truly unique. Antique buildings updated with modern amenities. The site was beautiful and a short walking distance to cute shops and restaurants. 10/10, highly recommend!

we checked into our "deluxe" unit on a night when temperatures were dropping to about 20, only to find out that there was no heat in the unit other than a gas fire place on a 1 hour timer and two space heaters. we plugged in both space heaters and sure enough we blew a breaker within about 30 minutes. we called and the moved us to another unit. the new unit was on the backside of another unit, so when the other tenants came home for the night we could hear every word they said. also, this new unit had two bathrooms, very out dated and one of them was very smelly, like urine. also the unit did not have any curtains or blinds. it was priviate so that wasnt the issue, but once the sun came up it was very light in the house. they did give us a $60 refund, but even that took over 2 weeks to get a lots of bird dogging to get. Expedia was great about it, but the Meyer Hotel, which had a 10 rating for the room we got, was very disappointing.

Check in was a bit problematic. The map didn't load on my phone, so we had a hard time finding our room. When we found our room the bathroom had been flooded from a leaky faucet. They moved us to a new room and it was fine. We got a good night's sleep and moved along. The grounds are very beautiful and secluded. There is nobody on site to help with any problems.

What a wonderful ‘hidden gem’! We have been coming to the Hill Country for getaways for decades and had never ‘discovered’ this property, or, quite frankly, the entire city of Comfort … a place we had always just driven by on the Interstate. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The grounds were absolutely amazing and we highly recommend that anyone staying here take a walk around the grounds and down to the river and enjoy the numerous deer and incredible huge, ancient ‘trophy’ trees! The City of Comfort was a welcome surprise, with some wonderful antique stores and excellent dining options, all within just a few minutes walk of the hotel. We also enjoyed the pool for a swim and some sunbathing. I’m not sure if I’ve ever stayed at a hotel that was more quiet than this property was. Oh, and they also provide complimentary use of their numerous outdoor fire-pits with kindling/starter kits and pre-cut wood! A great way to either end your day or start it in the morning, or both!
