Very clean. Updated. The breakfast buffet was excellent! One of the best quality free breakfast buffets I have experienced. Friendly staff. Convenient location. It is a shame that downtown Charleston has lost so many businesses. But Capital Street restaurants are not far away. I would stay here again.

We notified the front desk of bugs in our room. They said they would reach out to a lab to confirm if they were bed bugs and assured us a refund for the following two nights. We paid for 3 full nights and only stayed one night. They did not refund us. Any type of bug is unclean.

Overall a good value with friendly staff. Quirk = slow elevators that are not “smart”. That is, each floor has an elevator call button, not up or down. During busy times the (full) elevators will stop at every floor that summons them, whether they are going up or down. This hampers the process of moving people around efficiently. Find the lone stairwell at the far end of the building opposite the lobby - it’s better for getting around. Except when hauling luggage in and out of course, or if you’re on an upper floor ( there are 6 I believe).

Loved the comfort of the room and how clean it was. Only thing i would suggest is when cleaning the rooms make cleaning the vents in the bathroom be a part of the cleaning routine. This is the only hotwl i will stay at when im in charleston.

My only complaints is there was hair on the ceiling of the bathroom of my room as well as small holes where the bathroom light had been replaced with a new one. Everything else was excellent.

Not a bad place.
The hotel is old. It is in need of renovation. The paint was peeling from the ceiling and there were stains on the wall. The room itself was clean. Staff were efficient and polite. There. Are a lot of restaurants in a walkable distance, as well as the river walk.
