Breezy Hilltop, Hart Bay View, only minutes from town

Our hilltop, chocolate hole location provides fantastic ocean views and the southern exposure catches the cooling trade-winds. This one-bedroom private casita has outdoor balconies that lend themselves to tranquil ocean views and amazing sunrises. We are close to town and within walking distance to Hart Bay and Chocolate Hole beach, (rocky beaches great for exploring).

The interior is equipped with a King bed in the main bedroom, and a pull-out couch in the living room; sleeps up to four (4) persons (preferably no more than 3 adults) but is perfect for a small family (please inquire about any needs for infants or small kids). There is a full kitchen, living room, A/C unit, ceiling fans, and complimentary WiFi. As a courtesy, we also stock the unit with beach towels, chairs, and a soft cooler for your beach-going needs. There is a beautiful pool on the property but is shared with the homeowners, along with limited parking.

Water and power on the island can be hit or miss and we cannot promise that there will be no interruption for services we have no control over. These include, but are not limited to electrical service, internet, water, or telephone connections. We will make every effort to escalate any interrupted service issues so they can be restored as quickly as possible. No refund or adjustment of the rate will be given for unforeseen failures/interruptions of these services.

Well Appointed Casita
The place had everything that we needed. It was very clean and the location was close to Cruz Bay. The owner was very kind and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My only negatives would be that the beautiful view is mainly from the bedroom and the pool deck could use a little TLC. Neither would stop us from returning. Very nice place.

Nice little guest house with beautiful views over Hart Bay. Very comfortable for two people. Kitchen well supplied to allow for some cooking. Beach towels and chairs provided, which was a bonus. Host on property and very responsive. Property is dependent on rain for all water, so necessary to conserve water (and purchase all drinking water). Pool deck could use some upkeep. Road to the house is not for the faint of heart - definitely need an SUV and have to drive carefully on the narrow/rough road, but worth it to be close to town and have nice views!

Loved it.
We loved our stay here. Very clean and spacious for a couple with an awesome view and the breeze was the icing on the cake. Our host allowed us to use their beach chairs which were brand new so we didn’t have to pay for rentals at the beaches. We also had access to a small carry cooler which came is great for snacks and water. We gave five stars to all and would definitely stay here again.

The host/owners are very helpful and kind. We loved our stay on St. John. The island is truly amazing and definitely is a little slice of heaven. The location is very convenient and is pretty close to everything. The house is cute and has a great view and has everything that you would need to enjoy your stay. Loved our stay. The house was clean and nicely decorated, our host was attentive without being intrusive. A little challenging to find in the dark, our GPS didn’t pick up the address. On a mountain with a steep, narrow road (they all are!) After we figured out the lay of the land, we were able to zip around pretty quickly wherever we wanted to go.

Casie, the owner,met us when arrived and walked us thru the property and explained everything about the properly and the amenities which was very much appreciated. Then view from the unit was out of this world and we could hear the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach as we slept at night. We booked the house two days before arriving and had an amazing visit. Our host and family share the property and were friendly and helpful while also allowing our family plenty of privacy. The home has everything you need as far as kitchen supplies, linens, and extras such as beach towels, beach chairs, an insulated soft cooler, and a handy beach wagon to wheel everything around. We appreciated conveniences such as the dishwasher and washer/dryer but appreciated the owner's encouragement to be eco-friendly, such as minimizing the use of water and electricity. I do think the house is best suited for a couple or young family as opposed to two couples given shared spaces. The location is ideal, close to Cruz Bay, grocery store, nice restaurants, and many of the most popular beaches. We were grateful to have rented a jeep on this trip as in the past, had difficulty with a small car getting up the huge hills. Last but not least, the views from the cottage and the small neighborhood were stunning. You will enjoy yourself at Breezy Hilltop!

We were so impressed with this lofty, mountaintop delight! Our hosts were so kind and helpful - and very generous with my kids who adored their beautiful pool. We rented a Jeep - which was truly needed to navigate the rugged mountain road to the top - but so SO worth it. The casita was well equipped for a family that loves to cook and needs lots of linens and towels… Water is precious in the islands, so expect to take 2 min showers, flush less and buy a few gallons of drinking water (go to Love City Ice in Cruz Bay for 1 refills.) It really feels good to conserve and be mindful. THE WIND, oh, the glorious, warm wind! It blows day and night in from the sea - I laid on the veranda every night to enjoy the breeze and watch the stars. A/C was welcome now and then. Perfect adventure. Minutes from Cruz Bay, groceries, gas, restaurants, shops, beaches & nightlife. Favs: Love City BBQ, St. John Scoops, Dolphin Market, Beach Bar, Surf Club in Coral Bay (tacos!) We snorkeled EVERY DAY!! Beaches: Maho Bay (right side) for turtles and stingrays, Trunk Bay: corals/ pretty fish, Cinnamon Bay: perfect sand (and great snacks/showers after 4pm), Jumbie Bay: waves and deeper swimming, Little Cinnamon Bay (far left, over rocks): see the downed plane just off the beach! Haulover: amazing corals and baby fish (wear shoes!) Smith Bay on St. Thomas: tons of turtles, friendly barracuda and diving pelicans (right side by bouys) Enjoy!

Beautiful place and location. Quiet, amazing views and perfect breezes through the casita. My wife and I with 2 teenage girls had a blast. Great location on a St John's hill with a beautiful view, close to town, beautiful sunrises and on the clear nights the stars were amazing! This villa is awesome! The view is spectacular and the villa itself is clean and nicely updated. Casie was very nice to work with. The last half mile of the road is pretty bumpy. We rented a jeep and drove very slowly dodging potholes. There are stairs getting to the casita which was not a problem for us at all but could be for some people. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

We stayed the week of 1/29 with Casie! Everything was perfect. Loved the location and ease of everything. House was small but heald us 4 ladies just fine. Villa is spacious and clean, kitchen had everything we needed for a week-long stay. Views are fantastic - we loved watching the sunrise from bed every morning. A 4WD vehicle is definitely needed as most taxis are unable to get up the hills to the property, but we loved the privacy and it's a quick 5-10 minute drive to the heart of Cruz Bay.
