I enjoyed the central location to restaurants, harbor, beaches, sights. I realize Barcelona is an expensive city, but this property was overpriced for the condition of the room and amenities. I suggest this property was misrepresented in the listings on Orbitz and the hotel website. The room amenities were bare bones. The best thing was the breakfast buffet. There was an added cost, but at the overpriced room rates, breakfast should have been included. I would not recommend this hotel.

Avoid this place at all costs—it’s not even a hotel! Nothing about it matches the photos. The whole thing is misleading, and I regret not taking pictures to compare. It was so bad that I left and booked another hotel, losing nearly $1,000 in the process. They make you pay upfront with no refunds, clearly because they know it's a scam. When you arrive, you're greeted by an old wooden door with no clear entry instructions. After fumbling around, you eventually find a hidden buzzer to be let in. Inside, it only gets worse—a dark, creepy stairwell straight out of a horror movie. The tiny elevator barely fits a suitcase, and once inside, you’re directed to an office that’s only staffed part-time. You’re given three separate keys: one for the front door, another for a common area, and finally one for your room. When I got to my room, it was a complete disaster—outdated and run-down. The toilet was wedged so close to the wall that it was practically unusable. The furniture looked like it was thrown together by a college student. For what they charge per night, it’s outrageous. If it were a third of the price, it might be tolerable. I ended up booking a room just around the corner at a four-star hotel for the same price, with all the amenities you’d expect and a restaurant to boot. Casa Lirio is a total scam, and their photos are completely deceptive.

Hotel is hard to find and main door is along a tiny shady laneway which left us feeling unsafe coming and going but it is very close to La Rambla. Room was tiny and does not sleep three as advertised. Also, it doesn’t look like it’s pictures (large and spacy) it really only fits a bed. Sink and shower are part of main room so quite difficult to move around. Felt more like youth hostel than a hotel.

Pretty convenient and perfect for my family of 4. The price was very reasonable and the staff was friendly, but were only present between 10 and 10. Also, tge room was a little lacking in privacy between us family members as bathroom was separated by glass and not walls.

Great stay for a great price! Rooms are pretty spacious, but might need some updates (our shower leaked). You are sharing a communal hallway and kitchenette, so be ready for some noise from that! It is also a bit difficult to access the front desk for check-in and if you need anything during your stay due to locked doors. But they are very accommodating and nice.

Room 113 - loud, by the dining area - avoid
I don’t normally leave negative feedback - I can confirm the staff were nice, the location a little seedy and breakfast was middling (why hide normal milk?) - But here’s the crunch - i was not expecting a room right next to the dining area, with windows that open onto the smokers meeting patio… i was also expecting a blanket not just a sheet. The room looked nothing like the photo - Being told “sorry” about super loud, loud music till 01.45am is not good enough. £240 a night was totally over the top. My room number was 113 - if you are offered it then politely say no.
