Everything in the hotel was very clean and orderly. The pool was beautiful and clean as well. The staff were very helpful in giving us a map and showing us what activities there were to do around Capri and Anacapri.

The staff here is wonderful, they always smile and are ready to help you with anything you need. They offer a free shuttle service when you land in Capri so you can avoid Taxis or an hour long walk up the hill. The only negative experience is that their pool closed at 6PM, and that’s not something that will ruin your experience! Highly recommend! Also, it’s only 10 minutes walking distance from Anacapri Square with shopping, food and drinks.

Outdated, loud, amazing staff
Room was disappointing, very outdated, no windows, and very dark. There are large open vents in the room and the bathroom so you can hear everything in the halls and other rooms. We had to go buy earplugs after our first night because it was just SO loud! Staff was amazing, very helpful, loved how there was a free shuttle from the port to the hotel before checkin.

We knew that staying on capri was going to be expensive, but this was overpriced for what we got. We paid 350$ for a room that would be $70 in Canada. We booked this because it said it had laundry facilities and when we arrived and asked they said they did not have laundry. There is no rainfall shower- it's just a normal shower head. The hotel and staff were nice but if I were to do it again I would have saved our money and stayed in sorrento and do a day trip to capri.

Initially this hotel did not seem too promising but in the end it worked out very well and we stayed more nights than we'd originally booked. The room was not very large for a family of four (though the kids liked the bunk beds!) but the outdoor patio effectively added a third to the area of the room and we used that a lot. The location likewise seemed initially unpromising because it is in Anacapri (middle of the island) and seemingly a long way from the beaches, but in fact it's a very good location. The island has a generally efficient bus service and Anacapri itself has good shopping and restaurants. Our kids loved the outdoor swimming pool and attached snack bar; the staff were very helpful and friendly; we also liked the free breakfasts. Those wanting more vigorous exercise will enjoy the stiff hike or run up Monte Solaro (589 meters); for everyone else, there is a chair lift from the Piazza Vittoria (10 minute walk from the hotel) to the top of the mountain with its own snack bar and superb views. Overall highly recommended.

Amazing hotel in Anacapri!
We loved Hotel Carmencita! We took a quick trip to Capri and this hotel had an amazing location for our one night stay. It is a two minute walk to the bus stop and to the square of Anacapri. There are tons of shops, restaurants, and the chairlift right in walking distance. It was very easy to grab a bus to the other side of the island as well. The staff was amazing and allowed us to keep our luggage there after check out since our ferry left around 5pm. They had amazing suggestions and booked a reservation for us where we had the best Italian dinner of our trip! They were also very helpful suggesting the easiest ways to travel around the island and what we needed to see (like the natural arch and other landmarks). The breakfast was great, it was fresh and they had many options. Check-in/out was easy and I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

From USA. The pool is freezing. The staff is sweet some speak little English. Great they offer free shuttle when you arrive at port. You have to pay for drop off. The AC is not great. Pillows flat. No safe overall ok place.

Loved every minute of Hotel Carmencita!
Staff were extremely helpful from day 1. Free shuttle from Capri port took us straight to Hotel where we checked in and greeted with a lovely room. Pool area was very tidy and snack bar was ideal when the sun got too hot. Great location, very close to bus stop to Marina Grande & Piccolo. Highly recommend!

Charming family run hotel
Liked the free shuttle from the port to the hotel once we had established the correct pick up point - buses and luggage on Anacapri are not a good mix. Ditto the trip back, even if there was a small charge. Hotel staff were very friendly and gave us helpful but not pushy suggestions about what we could do. Room and bathroom were clean but also windowless (which was not a big issue as it was just a base) and meant no traffic noise. Breakfast was a decent continental with plenty of choice. And when I left by mistake my suit in the cupboard after checking out it was very kindly added to our bags in the foyer whilst we were out. Would I stay there again? Definitely. And any wifi issue that is in other reviews has clearly been resolved - we found it excellent.

Great hotel in the heart of Anacapri
The hotel was nicer than the reviews. The staff is small but very friendly. It has a swimming pool which is difficult to find on the island. Our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The hotel was full but everything is so quiet. We had a free breakfast each morning. The hotel seems to be run by a family and they were more than helpful with all our questions about the island. We had free transportation to the hotel from the marina and a small fee to take us back when we left. The fee was a quarter of the price of a taxi. About a 1/2 block up the street was the metro stop. Everyone uses small buses to get around the island unless you want to pay the crazy taxi prizes. At the same stop, there is a post office with an ATM so that was helpful too. There is a beautiful paved historic walking distance very close by to the hotel. It's frequented by all the locals. It's a family friendly place, both the hotel and Anacapri. I can't wait to go back!

Centrally located at Anacapri. This hotel offers free shuttle service from the port to the hotel at check-in. Very kind and helpful staff. Our room was small and there was no view from the balcony as it was obscured from big photos on the balcony railings.

It was very convenient that the hotel provides a pickup shuttle from the Marina Grande. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly staff member and given a drink by the pool. Unfortunately the pool was not open, so it was more just a drink on the patio. Our room was a bit small. It had a patio with a short fence surrounding it with picture of the coast. I think this was to allow for a bit more privacy since the patio opened to face other buildings. Overall the room was just ok but the location was very convenient and the staff was very friendly.

It was ok..
I stayed 2 nights by myself. It was ok for my rate this time. Some good some not very good. Air conditioner didn't work until I requested. I couldn't get hot water for shower in the morning until I requested for both days. They have super good just baked croissant for breakfast. They provided shuttle service to Marina Grande only for 3 euros, which I need to pay 25-30 euros if by taxi.

Can't call it a hotel rather a motel near a truck
Firstly I've been using Expedia for several years and always trusted hotels on your site. But I was very surprised to see that the quality of the Carmencita hotel in AnnaCapri could even be affiliated with Expedia it was run down staff was rude and obnoxious the room was not secure with a partition door between guest rooms. We did not feel safe Expedia should reconsider listing this property. We stayed a total of 10 minutes when we asked to leave. The owner said leave but we still get paid from Expedia then said something in Italian and they all laughed at my wife and I. This trip started out great and ended in disaster we were almost homeless but thanks to running into friends they took us in I am confident that Expedia will refund my payment and really take a good look at the Carmencita hotel Thank you

perfect family hotel
great location in central anacapri.a very nice family room with safe bunk beds the kids loved and large private patio. an added bonus was a brand new playground right across the street.beautiful pool area. bus stop to capri and blue grotto just a few feet away. much better than staying in capri.
