No hot water in shower No soap to wash hands Breakfast was basically a loaf of wonder bread Drug deals, prostitution and thugs hanging standing all around parking lot, lobby and right in front of room door all day and night I promised my wife I would never punish her ever again by staying in sleazy hotels Just to save 5 dollars. Do yourself a favor... don’t stay here
The room and staff were horrible. Cleanliness is not here and wear your shoes!!
Customer service blah.. Have to have a key to enter hotel even lobby entrance after 10pm.. No smoking rooms available , only about 5 working tv channels (not even good channels), horrible cold breakfast .. DO NOT recommend staying there at all...
Well me and my wife were hoping for some time away from home and were hoping that The Cedars Inn in auburn would be just that place to do the trick.....well we were completely fooled and realized it instantly... This Motel was not what we were looking for at all and I was a little dissappointed it my decision....
Old and worn-out. Over priced. Should not be on anyone's list
its worth it if you are short on money and need something right then and there
Older property that was once a budget chain and smells like it. Bare bulb light fixture in bathroom, rust stain on tub, hand rail that needs reattachment, room curtain falling off, older furnishings. Front desk offered me a deodorant spray and commented the place is old. The signage in the parking lot advertised a $59.00 special after Ibooked it for $99. In all fairness after bringing up the odor and condition of the room, somehow $10 was deducted from the room rate. The air conditioner functioned well without the typical motel vibrations and noises.
While the staff at Cedars inn Auburn were great it didn't make up for the other issues. To start there was blood on one of our pillows EEWWW!!! Not to mention they were rock hard so don't forget yours like we did. We heard the trains going through the area both nights and there was a poor little baby crying all night in the room next to us. We were getting away for a weekend to get some R&R didn't work out that way at all we left more exhausted than we arrived:(
Lumberyard unloading dock outside window trucks starting at 5 am. Hotel old but clean. Thin walls make it easy to hear neighbors shower.
The bed was very comfortable - a big surprise for the very reasonable price of the room. I have stayed in other hotels that have cost more and had a less comfortable bed. The furnishings were certainly not luxurious but it was a good value, good location, and I would stay there again. The only problem was that I had made the reservation online and had paid for it online and the hotel did not show that I had paid. The woman at the front desk had to call and talk to someone at this company's office to get the issue resolved. Her records showed that the room had been held via a type of card that I do not own. Made me question the process and if my reservation had gotten mixed up with someone elses.
This hotel is pretty basic, which for the price is OK. Unfortunately a Lowe's is directly behind it, and they start working at 6 AM. Also, an entrance to the Lowe's parking lot is just outside the window, so there's traffic noise too. If you're just looking for a room with a bed, then this hotel is fine.
The bathroom had a mostly used roll of toilet paper in the dispenser. Instead of complimentary soap and shampoo there was a shampoo and soap dispenser in the shower. The carpet was weirdly sticky, not really sure why. The drawers in the dresser smelled REALLY bad, very musty and foul. I didn't want to put my clothes in there because I was afraid it would make my clothes smell. There was not coffee maker in the room, no hair dryer. It was very bare. The pictures make it look MUCH NICER than it actually is. It's misrepresented.
Was in Auburn for a wedding that weekend. Looking for a for a clean, quiet hotel at a rock bottom price. Found what I was looking for at the Cedar Inn. The only thing I could possibly complain about would be the lack of a substantial continental breakfast. Was promised muffins, but there was none. I was very happy with the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room. The beds were very comfortable.
Nice, comfortable, clean. Great time!
