Convenient option for arriving late or leaving early.
The hotel is right across parking lot from KEF airport, 2 minute walk maybe.
Covers all what’s needed for quick stay, good buffet breakfast, lots of choices and nice espresso machine to start your day.
This hotel is a bit pricier than other places in Keflavik, but it’s well worth it being at the airport. The bus into Keflavik runs about every hour, so you may have an extra wait on that. Also, the airport has some 24 hour food options, so that’s also a plus being able to walk over there.
Good, clean, conveniently located to the airport hotel.
All other hotels near Keflavik airport need a transfer or taxi. The Aurora is a 3-4 minute walk.
Room was spotless.
It was super that with a flight at 7.40am breakfast was readily available at 5.30am.
Checkin was easy, as was checkout.
The only slight thing was it felt pricey for 2 fish and chips and a beer and wine at £65.
I know Iceland is dear but we ate at other places across the country and didn’t pay near that.
However this was a really small factor and it is what it is. Great airport hotel.
The service from reception and the restaurant was great.
This is the best hotel for your arrival or departure. You can see the airport and walk right to it or to the hotel. It is clean and staff is friendly.
The rooms are basic but perfect for a night. There is a small restaurant that opens for breakfast. They also open at 6pm for dinner. There's not many choices on the menu, but the choices didnt disappoint.
I think this place is worth the pay and stay.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Staff & service
I’m not sure if my expectations were too high; however, I spent the most of my trip at a luxury hotel before switching to Aurora Hotel to be closer to the airport for the last 2 days of my trip.
Most of the staff was not friendly. It almost seemed like a bother whenever I asked a question or even went to order food. I felt unwelcomed and completely out of place.
The room was okay: somewhat chilly, basic and made me think of the personalities of the staff. The bed was small, considering I’m tiny; so that speaks volumes. I can only imagine the reason they get much traffic is because they are close to the airport. Which is the best feature of Aurora Hotel.
The restaurant selection for dinner was slim; while, the food was barely tasty. The breakfast was okay, edible at best.
I don’t plan on staying there again and would not recommend this hotel at all.
