After check in, there was a domestic violence issue happening at the hotel that the clerk was concerned with. A lot of yelling and cussing. No cable in our room and the phone was covered in a sticky substance. Called front desk on my personal phone, in which I was told most phones do not work but as for cable we need to switch rooms. Switched to new room. Reeks of cigarette smoke and there was something(?) under my sheets, possibly old food. Terrible experience. Also parking lot is unsafe with cars driving around blind turns, lots of non hotel guest traffic at the hotel..

This is very very very old hotel. We were put in a room 214 that was super dirty and smelled like smoke. The bathroom toilet was disgusting. The toilet seat had 4 different colors from the pain peeling off. A toilet seat is $20 bucks for the love of God replace it!!! We asked to change rooms and we did. The other room wasn’t much better I had to hold my pee until we checked out. I feel like Expedia has some kind of fake reviews how can this place get a “good” rating ?? because i am not picky by any means but when i feel i can get a disease from using a bathroom then that tells you something. We had Clorox wipes so we cleaning everything before we touched it. The sheets smell like bleach and were clean( I’ll take bleach smell on sheets any day so I know they have been washed properly) I will never stay at a Microtel again. Lesson learned

As I walked in to register, there was a guest sitting in the second story window smoking. For the amount of time I spent in the room, it was worth the price compared to the other places.
