Beautiful hotel. Staff were very welcoming & helpful throughout stay. They had a little breakfast bar that offered on the go yogurt & cereal, as well as coffee. Parking behind hotel is first come first serve & free. Walking distance from hotel are a bunch of places to eat & across the street they have a wholefoods.
This was our first romantic stay-cation in the area. Though we know that the current COVID situation would change the experience, I feel that it still felt short of what they could do. Arrival: We pulled up to the main door where my husband wanted to drop off myself as well as the bags. The door man immediately let us know there was no valet (understandable) and to pull forward away from the door. My husband explained he was just dropping off the bags and he kept insisting to move away from the front door with no explanation. We did so and were told after we bring our bags in and fill out some paperwork for the parking garage. Again very confusing. What were we willing out? Where as the parking garage? We were in a hurry for a reservation and it wasn't very helpful. We arrived to the front desk, frazzled, and already in a hurry to make a upcoming reservation. My husband then had to run back and forth to get the information from the car in order to them have is validated at the parking garage. ...The garage was 3 blocks away. The front desk ladies while friendly, seemed just excited as we were at the moment.. which was not much. I mentioned how this was our first time at a hotel in months and met was met with the reply "I wish this was the first time I had been at a hotel in months.." Awkward. I was given the wrong room paperwork to fill out, which I caught thankfully. They quickly furnished the correct papers with my name and information on them. Since we were in a hurry

Everything was absolutely wonderful except the bed. Difficulty sleeping matress was terrible.
The property is in a great location. Several restaurants and shops within walking distance. Also the food is outstanding, as is the property itself. Absolutely beautiful gardens/outside dining. Reminds me of Tuscan gardens in Italy.

Very nice hotel and lovely staff. Very clean and a beautiful room. We loved the cozy throw at the end of the bed. We actually only live a few towns away. But when other travel plans fell through this was a nice little escape.
Superb hotel (and I'm a business traveler who stayed in hotels over 200 nights last year). Great staff throughout. Only item that could be considered a negative was the air conditioning fan was a bit loud in our room, but I've certainly experienced louder ones elsewhere. Booked our room through Orbitz. Had no idea that doing so got me a free bottle of French wine (not sure if that was a temporary or standing promo, but what a nice idea) - . How in the world could anyone complain about such a nice surprise. Handwritten welcome note in our room was an additional nice touch that indicated the attention to detail at this property, and how seriously the owners/managers take making their guests feel special. Will now be the only hotel I ever use when in the Hartford region.

Best hotel experience I've ever experienced. All the amenities (champaign at check-in, free transportation to nearby shopping and restaurants and exceptional complimentary breakfast) were wonderful unexpected touches.
My son and I were visiting from Seattle and were not only welcomed by friendly, personable staff, but were also impressed by the beautiful and comfortable lobby. My son is a jazz pianist and was encouraged to play the outstanding piano next to the reception. He did play and we had an incredible stay. Too short!!!
