Rooms and linens need upgrading. Carpet was not very clean…there was a big sticky spot… quite gross. On the other hand bed was comfortable

Amazing time!! We were on the 70th floor and the view was phenomenal!!! Omg !! Thank you orbitz

Stayed 3 nights and never got my room cleaned or restocked. Restaurants are under staffed even on a convention weekend and close early.

It was as good as I thought it should be

Our stay at the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center was deeply disappointing, particularly due to the staff's handling of our UPS packages. We had four critical packages delivered for an event, all signed for by the hotel. Upon arrival, requesting our packages seemed to inconvenience the staff, who took an agonizing 45 minutes to retrieve them. Worse, only three of the four packages were returned to us. The missing fourth package was a significant issue, yet the staff's response was shockingly apathetic. They claimed ignorance about its whereabouts and expressed that they didn't have time to search for it. This lack of professionalism and disregard for guest needs is unacceptable, especially when time-sensitive events are involved. We had to proceed to our event without essential materials, causing unnecessary stress and complications. The next day, our departure was overshadowed by the same unhelpful attitude; the staff still couldn't locate our package. This experience has seriously tainted our view of the Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center. The inefficiency and lack of concern for guest property and needs are not what we expected from a Marriott establishment. I am hesitant to recommend this hotel based on this experience.

We enjoyed our stay!

Quiet, nice place

average at best and way over-priced

I always come here when I go to concerts but this time the staff was rude, time for restaurant was wrong and the cafe was to damn expensive

Check in process was horrible, on itinerary it stated check in time was 3 pm, then when I got to property the time changed to 4 pm then wasn’t given a room until 5 pm. Spent the whole day waiting to check in.

For the price, you are only getting the name and location. The rooms are very small including the bathroom. You have to pay for everything extra, parking obviously but also 15 bucks for WiFi. When we leave a hotel, we take the pillows out of the cases and the sheets off the bed to help staff, the pillows were stained yellow and their were yellow stains on both mattress cover. I expected a lot more from this hotel.

The view!

I was expecting newer and nicer and it was just okay. The bathroom was tiny and out dated.

Terrible don’t stay here they are so incredibly understaffed which is understandable due to Covid but the price was too high for the lack of amenities. We stayed 3 nights and never had any housekeeping

First stay: room not properly made, needed to switch. No hot water. Second stay: No hot water after 8PM. Third stay: Toilet and bath not clean.

We were supposed to check in at 4 but didn’t check in until 6:30. We were told at 3:30 when we were checking in that we would receive a call when our room was ready. We were very patient because we knew there was an event. But at 6 we were told by other guests to just go in the line and you’ll get a key. They had been waiting longer than us for a call and just went in line. My husband got in line and they were right we got a key and were able to check in a 6:30 (not because of your system). I was also charged on my credit card when I used Avion points to book. I called Marriot for support and they were not helpful with my double charge.
