I was very pleasantly surprised by the Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Des Moines Airport. Not only due to the fact that it was super convenently located across the DMS International Airport but for all the other comforts it provided. First off, the rooms were super comfortable and clean. The bathroom was impecable too. The beds were firm but comfy and the sheets/blankets/comforter super clean as well. The carpets and a lot of the furniture (and bathroom fixures) appeared to be recently renovated. Getting to a fro our rooms was easy: the elevator worked perfectly. Parking was plenty and free! Other amenities included: free wifi (with no password required--perhaps I should say that quietly), a 52" TV screen with lots of great channels to choose from, a decent free breakfast with very convenient hours, as well as several fast food restaurants nearby. The frontdesk staff was also very friendly. I really can't think of any negative aspects to this hotel to tell you the truth--none, really. So, all in all, for all the reasons listed above AND for the low daily rate that we paid, I can just highly (HIGHLY) recommend this hotel! You'd be hardpressed to find anything better in that particular DMS area.
