Really disappointed in our first (and last time) at this property. The people are nice, but the property is old (even pre hurricane), stairwells are filthy, walkways are filthy. Condo was old, deck was gross, paint peeling off everything. New staff confused and unable to keep up with pool side orders. I've left three messages to have a manager call me. We left early this was so unclean and no call back from management yet. The description on their website is mis leading, they say they are forth coming with the state of their property on social media - they are not. Spend your money elsewhere.
Normally I do not review hotels, but thought this one definitely needed to have a review: Good Points: * Beautiful Views * Nice employees * Nice Pools * Clean Rooms Areas for Improvements: * Bartender at pool bar was terrible (Worst drinks that I have ever had; settled on Rum and Diet Coke because you can't mess up that) * Light outside bedroom window made the bedroom very light all night long (All they would have to do was put up room darkening blinds) * Overall Hotel cleanliness definitely needed improvement (Public bathroons, hall ways, etc) I would visit again, but just keep in mind, this is really a 2 or 3 start hotel, and for the prices, I would have expected a bit more.
Always tons to do. Beach was seaweed free! Got a great deal on Orbitz.
We had a blast! The condo owner even provided card and board games. They also left a card with a frame for us. Great touches to a great vacation!

What a wonderful trip. Our condo was awesome and had lots of room with updated decor. The staff was very helpful when we had a leak in the refrigerator and promptly fixed the problem. Access to the beach is awesome and the Pool/hot tub was very clean.
The condo (we got 2 bedroom/2 bath) was large and clean with a very large balcony. Our kids LOVED the pool area!
I would not consider staying anywhere else than this hotel.....the pools are outstanding, clean, well-maintained and close proximity to the condos and to the beach!
Our stay at Port Royal in Port Aransas, TX was perfect. The condo (#6107) was beautiful and updated. It featured a master suite with King and 2nd bedroom with 2 full beds..they also provided two roll away beds and two very comfy couches. The pools , 3 hot tubs and splash pad were awesome. The service was fantastic - pool side grill- staff coming by to check on us and bring drinks/food. We love Port Royal and have been going since we were kids, now we take our own children. Beach was accessible from private gated boardwalk, the beach very clean ..minimal sea weed! Great stay - can't wait to go back!
We went during the off season, so the hotel was not crowded. The pools and hot tubs are awesome. The beach is wonderful, you can walk for miles. The weather was great. Can't wait to return.
We're going next year... We absolutely loved this hotel and vacation. If you go rent a beach cart it makes the experience so fun.
They guarantee checkin by 4pm but our room was not ready by 4, it was not ready until after 5pm.
Their 4pm checking guarantee is not so guaranteed. We arrived 30 mins early and was told we had to wait 30 for our room. We waited patiently with two little children, groceries and at 4pm they told us our room would not be ready for another hour. They did give us some credit to spend while we wait but not enough for a family of 6.
Great views, Quiet, very nice rooms, I didn't try the resturant, maybe next ttime....
I love the room! The view was spectacular. This is a secluded place so it is not by alot of things like shopping, billards and so forth. Overall, I had a good time because I got to have some alone time with my baby!
Location and amenities were good. Food in resturant was good. Hidden fee, was the resort fee that I did not know about before we got there. The desk attendant ask to see a credit card and DL. She then ran my card. I asked her what that was about and she said it is resort fee of about 14.00 dollars a day, with tax the fee was over 32.00 dollars for the two days. The stay at Port Royal is a bit costly, but a great place to take your family.
