Great place for what I needed - a nice room close to where I needed to go the following day. Add in friendly staff and I was very pleased - thank you.
It’s about about a 20 minute walk to Loyola which was not terrible I felt safe in the walk there and back. Check in was easy and staff is very nice I was able to leave my car on premises while visiting the university which was a plus for me.
The bathtub had lots of hair. Wasn’t clean
It’s a very cheap but overpriced motel, for nearly $200 per night I hoped it will be better. Nobody came to clean the room in 3 days, and the train ride to town is almost 1 hour.
Got the reservation last minute. Was a good value for what I needed
Very difficult and confusing parking out front. Smelled of cigarette smoke and pot at front desk and in hallways. Rust around bathroom fixtures.
The facility itself is old. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. However, the water pressure in the shower was poor and the temperature of the water was impossible to control. It was scalding hot but if you put on the cold at all, the water was freezing. The shower was also so small it was hard to turn around. Oftentimes, the shower is what makes a hotel stay pleasing as you can get clean and relax. Not the case here.
Dirty sheets. Outdated plumbing. Took me five minutes to adjust the temperature of the shower. Non smoking room still smelled like smoke. Breakfast was okay.
The staff at this hotel just couldn't be more friendly. I stay here every time I visit Chicago. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. I love the staff - always helpful and very nice. The location is perfect because it's close to my son's home. This is the hotel me and my family always stay in when we visit.
Great place to stay if you are going to Wrigley Field. Not far from the train station in anyone cab ride if you can that way. Walking to many restaurants and bars
The guy working the front desk was very nice. The hallways are dirty and out dated. The hotel room was broke down, there were little repairs that needed to be done. The hotel room was very dirty.
Convenient location for our visit to Loyola, hotel staff was very helpful. Easy walking access to good food as well.
The room served our purpose, cheap, comfortable room. No frills, but then again we didn't pay for a luxury accommodations so didn't expect them. The room was clean and comfortable and at a good price. That was good enough for us, I would stay here again.
Hotel was in poor condition and in a rough area. Would not recommend this to anyone.
This is a Super 8 that has seen better days, but it's within walking distance to Loyola's lakefront campus and a great many things, including the red line and several express buses downtown. The walls are paper thin, and the whole place is drab, but if you can book a room here for cheaper than a downtown place, you should know it's convenient for travelers without a car (and will give you a chance to explore Rogers Park and Edgewater neighborhoods, full of cafes and bars, bookstores, ethnic restaurants, etc.)
